Keeping it simple. The SF does not photo well - it's gorgeous! Comfort - most comfortable Ferrari incl my 812GTS. Speed - wicked like Senna but much smoother car performs flawlessly. Handling -it's got all the right feel to build confidence, clear why it's broken records. Hybrid - perfection very easy and helpful with the silence when parking also very cool on the road Touch systems - works perfect and simplistic - love the wiper control radio systems Tomm 80 degrees nice long drive - I can already tell it's a fast beast and can't wait to open the roof. Paint is very good a few minor things dealer will fix but nothing bad. Ferrari has some issues in control but can't remember when they didn't, all easy fixes. Welcome to the SF club! It is such a great car. When it’s run-in and you can really push it around some sharp bends, you’ll see, it’s from another automotive world. Fantastic machine. It caught all the flak from being the first proper production hybrid supercar but in doing that, the excellence of the car itself was missed. If hybrid drive adds to the experience, and it does, it justifies the weight and expense IMO. I think the market will catch up eventually. Enjoy your Spider!
Thanks all. Drove today - length / width windshield is Senna like offers vision to road and front arches. SF in real life WOW it's got a lot to give - CF wheels shine, change XX to carbon wheels - too cool! SF is my 812GTS and Senna in one - if someone said pick SF or Senna 812 would choose SF. I honestly can not believe Ferrari built this machine - reminds me of Carerra GT - you better give it your full attention or it will bite you! Thank you - 1904 Worlds Fair originally SF90 owners feel the same - amazing piece of tech. Rear diffuser has opening in the aero blades which surprised me. Ferrari IMO doesn't Mae the videos they could and should - it's a remarkable car.
Congratulations on the beautiful white SF90! I think that the car is stunning in white and I almost went with white for the XX car. I echo the others in this thread: the SF90 is vastly under appreciated (often people who don’t have them being the biggest critics). I love mine — it’s been the best car I’ve ever owned. I have the Assetto Fiorano package which is a dream on the track and isn’t abusive on local roads around here (I know the front lift is a must-have for some people in some areas). Enjoy the car in good health! It’s a spectacular vehicle!
More seat time - SF90 feels more stable AWD perfection. It photographs poor but in real life it's a gorgeous beast. I think Ferrari is pushing it with their pricing to the point of these cars second hand are just too expensive It''s a good color for SF90 - given "free" white roof. Car does not photo well - in person it's presence and looks are something special. After a drive today - I don't want anything faster add electric mode which was the one thing I would hate I like the most. It's a credible toy to enjoy. Ferrari built something out of this world and can't get enough!
Just out of curiosity, do you think the SF90 would be more "fun" with just RWD? Yes, I know, we have the 296, but it has less grunt (V6 v. V8) and less aggressive aero than the SF90.
Absolutely yes! But to save my life - it's damn nice and fun to come out of a corner / off the line. I remember talking to CEO Lamborghini - felt their customers needed AWD or they wouldn't have any - he laughed but 100% serious. These cars are insane and owners should be required to a track weekend.
If I may chime in, a widowmaker is just poor engineering. Ferrari built a nearly 1000 HP RWD hypercar in 2013, which was called a widowmaker by no one!
And neither is the GT2RS a widowmaker. At least not the last one. Even the 930 Turbo - which we have - is not really a widowmaker. Just people who didn’t know how to drive giving it a reputation. I’m not being arrogant - it’s very easy to get yourself into trouble with the 930, but then it is with any car if you take liberties. The 930 is brilliant, and brilliantly engineered, but it’s over 35 years old. No assistance or ‘nannies’ at all. You have to allow for your limited skill in the way you drive. I think way back in the 70’s and 80’s people thought “yeah, turbo baby! Gimme the keys and I’m the king”. Except you needed more than the keys to be king. These days, enthusiasts have the cars and they understand more about how the car wants to be driven. And that lift-off-oversteer is really a thing!
As always, you are right, sir! You just reminded me my first sketchy tail wag, in a Vauxhall Carlton, I "stole" from my dad's business motor pool.
