So, I had the "ATF Low oil pressure" message along with "4wd failure" and "manetino failure" last month, topped off the fluid, seems ok till now, level is constant.
I did an oil check on the gearbox itself, had around 0.5l more in it from the hydraulic fluid that mixed with it, changed the oil, level it. Everything was worked smoothly for a few days.
Now when I put into R I have the "4wd failure" and "manetino failure" without the "Low pressure atf fluid" message. The fluid level is ok.
This only happens when I put it into reverse. If I turn it off and start again I can drive forward without any problem and no message.

Any experiences with this problem ?

So i spoke to my independent:
“The wire was shorted to ground, which causes an error, and anything on the network for the engine ecu, starts to wig out.”

So if this happens it gives the same error as a bad ptu - 4wd or wet mode error. Definitely worth checking before concluding the ptu needs replacing.

Interesting, so I assume it was a minor job then?

Ah ok. Thanks for the rapid response! Would you mind giving me the name of your independent/me calling them to ask for more details?

Spoke to Tommy at P1 he said it was a fluid line pinched and leaking was really obvious, didn’t mention any wiring.
