Funny thing is, I rode the airplane from LAX to SFO before I actually flew the plane from SFO to Tokyo. I wish I would have known it was onboard! I would have taken tons of photos. I can't stop thinking about this car now......

My dealer told me that the official North American Public Unveiling will be at Pebble Beach, but that's discluding the private launch parties.

Interesting...I hadn't heard that. Did the rumor happen to say where or when? As a native Vermonter, I always perk up when I hear about Ferraris showing up in the Green Mountains...

I visited with a dealer GM.

He pounded the table saying how great the car looked in person. And, said he believed they were limiting production--not like GTO etc--but just had a hard annual cap to be sure all were put into market on so-called "healthy basis".

Said he had several confirmed customers as well.

Finally, said supposed to be "road show" of sorts--not exactly like Cali or 458--but one none the less. Expect it near end of summer.

Look like I'll be there when invited :)

Dealer training often requires cars :)

I'll have to keep my eyes out when I'm up there on Friday!

No dates or location given. I'm speculating if it were to happen that it would be sometime in the fall.

Private viewings of Euro spec cars are entirely different to a US launch with US specific cars. I believe US cars will not be produced until after the Maranello summer break in August.

I hope to see this car there when I get there tomorrow.
I should be there pretty early in the morning. Not sure when I will be able to look around to see where the car actually is located. I will be sure to see it sometime during the weekend. I'm there until Sunday. Gotta keep all of you in line.

Oh yeah, Grigio FF is much, much darker...they had scale models (1/10 I'd say) of the bodies and each were painted in the FF exclusive colors. We're heading out to dinner and drinks, I'll try to post more later tonight. I'll be back at the track tomorrow and see if I can get some photos of those models...I wasn't thinking about that earlier today.

Great photos and write up. Can you confirm the car was Grigio Abu Dhabi. I saw the same color combination in Italy but could not confirm exterior color code. interior was Semi Aniline leather option, I agree not great in blue.

I got stuck working the whole weekend and didn't get away to go up to the Red Bull Energy Center where the FF was. Very Bummed! Oh Well!

That car looks great! The back seats look pretty good. Enough room for adults?

Wife and I sat in it (front and back). The front is what you'd expect but the back is pretty amazing...

    1. It's very comfortable.
    2. Tons of legroom (I'm 6'1")
    3. Masses of headroom - more than the front seat of most other Ferraris.
    4. Legit armrests for both arms.
    5. Cupholders! I know this is anathema for a purist but heck, if you're in the back seat, you might as well enjoy yourself. However, they are approximately large enough to hold an espresso shot.
    6. Has the "oh jesus" straps straight out of the Quattroporte. When you're not holding them, they tuck out of the way (magnetically?). Nice touch.
    7. Pass through center console...grab the hooch hidden in the trunk ??

It was a very nice place to be...I seriously was in no hurry to get out. When I did emerge, it was surprisingly easy to climb out. Probably the easiest 2 door car I've ever got in or out of the back seat.
