So I am thinking of trading my 2014 Panamera TurboS and 2015 Aston Martin Vantage V12S for a used FF. I think it my give the PTTS and the Vantage V12S all in one. Or maybe wait a couple years for the F12 to come down in price and buy that. Is there much difference in the drive between the two? Will I miss the rawness of the Vantage with the FF? Thank you for any input.

    I would not do it.
PTTS is a much better daily driver then FF and you would be hard pressed to find a more fun weekend warrior then V12S.
You would be disappointed if you made that move.

I for one think the trade is a great idea... Go test drive the FF and decide!

I just got my 2012 FF this week and I'm not even thinking about driving my SLR or Aventador Roadster. Car is so much fun to drive and is so damn comfortable

Test drive the FF and you'll be smitten!

Never driven a Vanquish, but I have a DB9 & Panamera. FF is leagues ahead of both.

In my humble opinion of course :)

Can't comment on the Aston either but I have driven the Panamera and despite being quick it is frankly boring and clinical to drive and to me lacks any emotional appeal. Quite the opposite to the FF!

I owned a Panamera and I bought an FF this year..... Wow what an amazing car.... The FF is definitely very comfortable and fun to drive.... Still the F12 is also amazing and different than the FF... I do suggest that u test drive the FF and to compare it w your existing cars, but try to test drive it back to back w your existing cars.... If u need a 4 seater then go for an FF..... If u need a 2 seater w an AMAIZING power and very fun to drive then go for an F12

Both of those cars feel like a car, the FF is an experience of another level. Or as my friend said "now THIS is a MACHINE !"

    1 insurance, 1 maintenance schedule.

    Upgrade and Simplify :)

The F12 is WAY more car than most people can max out, and why WAIT YEARS to own a Ferrari? The FF can be driven hard and be fun, but it's not going to get loose in the corners.

V12S is sooo slow against F12. But I dont know if this is relevant with speed limits. Have not yet driven FF though.

I had a PTTS before my FF. I find the FF to be as good a daily driver as the PTTS and a lot more fun.

I had in mind real daily use when it gets tiring with all the attention Fcar gets.
Makes you nervous when valeting it too, not always it is possible to keep it up front.
With Panamera you just don't care.

I understand how the attention gets tiring, I have always driven cars for me not show 90% of the time.

My solution was simple I bought a F12 silver(sorry I'm too lazy to memorize all the fancy colour marketing names that seem to be the 'thing' these days). No badges on it, it's a generic looking F12, nobody notices for the most part. Which is what I wanted.

It's possible to have a Ferrari that's not too flashy-in LA anyways. In smaller markets I'm sure it's noticeable.

FF looks like a great car for a specific driver.

I have driven lots of AM's, they are great cars(mostly) but nothing like a F12. Not even close. Not saying they are bad cars, I like them, but IMO a different type of car. Just like a Lambo is much different than a F12.

My opinion, buy them all!!!! :D

I've been in Japan the past 2 weeks, China for biz in a couple weeks. before that Eastern Europe. Not online much.

Yes SV is still the plan, I looked at one in LA when I was home for 2 weeks. I like it a lot more than the 50 anniversary.

I grabbed a F12 while I was home for a couple weeks. I'm going to drive it a lot when I'm home, someday.....congrats on the FF!

All is good, will be in Europe in March for a month and most of next summer. Hope your well.

    Thanks,
    Eric :)

I would just say it depends how much driving you do.
If you're in the PT 95% of the time and 5% in the v11v then on balance its more fun to drive a v12 like an FF all the time.

If you do get time to really enjoy the v12v regularly then you'll miss it, so if the split is more like 60/40 then stick with what you have for now. Or sell thePT and for the cost of the f12 have the v12vand the FF...

If you have a relationship with a dealer, they will let you test drive an FF for a few days. Mine let us have the car for a couple of weeks over the holidays. The FF doesn't get near the attention of a 458.. most people think it is a Porsche or something.

It took a while for my wife to get used to driving a Ferrari and stop worrying about door dings. She daily drives the car and parks at grocery stores, malls, restaurants etc. every day and the car has never been scratched or dinged.

I absolutely love our FF.. go drive one!

Agreed, and Aston interiors have never been to my taste.

I think it all depends on whether you're wiling to drive a Ferrari on the particular routes you take on a daily basis. I know we have folks here who drive their Ferraris into NYC every, but I've just never felt comfortable doing that. Wouldn't think twice however about a Panamera.

I'd keep the Panamera and use the Aston to partially finance the FF. If you can swing it.

I see a lot of guys judge the V12S based on their experience with a DB9 or regular Vantage.
Nothing further from the truth, that car offers a very unique driving experience that even the improved Vanquish (8speed) does not offer.
Drive a real V12S and then pass the judgment.

The FF is the best car I have ever had or driven. Blows away any Porsche, and is so usable and fun to drive that you really don't want to drive anything else on a daily basis. There are days where I don't drive my FF, and the next day I just can't wait to get in it.
