    although i think it was Ferris's friend Cameron Frye who lived in the house (or his dads!)

    Ferris: [describing Cameron's house] The place is like a museum. It's very beautiful and very cold, and you're not allowed to touch anything.


    Cameron: The 1961 Ferrari 250GT California. Less than a hundred were made. My father spent three years restoring this car. It is his love, it is his passion.
    Ferris: It is his fault he didn't lock the garage.

    Cameron: Ferris, my father loves this car more than life itself.
    Ferris: A man with priorities so far out of whack doesn't deserve such a fine automobile.
    [Ferris caresses the car in admiration]
    Cameron: No. No! Apparently, you don't understand!
    Ferris: [ignoring Cameron] Wow.
    Cameron: Ferris, he never drives it! He just rubs it with a diaper!

    I think it has been for sale for some time now. The outside remindds me of a wooden double wide trailer.

    That's Ferris's buddy's Cameron's house fpr sale. Yep, it's been for sale for awhile. Looks like something Ikea would sell, IMHO.

    Ferris's house is in Long Beach, CA. Coincidentally, I was in the area with a friend around two months ago, and we snapped these photos

    Never noticed before that the Jaguar gauges are a give away that the car isn't a Ferrari.
    Gretest car movie ever.

    O.K Here is my story-I bought my 330gts from the ex-president of Paramount who green lighted the film. It was his idea to use a California in the movie. His daughter's name was Sloan. My 330gts' license plate is NRVOUS.
    It will be at The Quail in Monterey this year for anyone interested in checking it out after a 5 year Junior restoration. Unfortunately, Ned Tanen, who always referred to it as "our 330" won't be able to see it. I wish he was still with us. Great guy.

    Looking forward to seeing your GTS this year at The Quail, Morris. And indeed you are right regarding Ned Tanen's influence in the movie Ferris Bueller. His "car guy" touches run throughout the entire picture that he was responsible for, he is missed by us all. Having brokered your 330 deal with Ned, the "NRVOUS" license plate is perfect!     That was a great movie. The city has filled out alot since then but still has the John Hancock and Sears as tall black bookends. The "airborne shots" area is now built up with highrises. You can see alot more of Chicago when the new Transformers movie comes out in July(mindless kids movie). They have more pictures of the for sale house in the Chicago thread.
