    Hi All,

I was nominated for a Chicago/Midwest Emmy for composing music. If you look at this 3 minute demo video, the piece nominated was the one called “History Russian Borders” (it starts about 1:15)...

So the awards will be Nov 1st, at the Chicago Radisson Blu Aqua hotel, with reception/red carpet/cocktail hour at 4:30PM, then dinner, and then the awards at 7PM-9PM. It’s also airing live on WYCC and streaming live on the internet. Tickets to the black-tie event are $165 if anybody would like to attend, (NATAS Chicago) but aside from that I thought it might be cool to get the gang together out front of the hotel at at 9PM with a mini car show. Who knows, you could end up on TV that will be rebroadcast on numerous PBS stations a bunch of times. I'll be sticking around after the event to have some drinks with friends at the hotel bar, and hopefully celebrating a win! I need a statue next to the bust of Beethoven on my piano! Please join me.

They have an option for friends to give shoutouts and congrats to nominees in the ceremony program, from a few lines all the way up to full page ads. If you’d consider it, it would be a blessing. Here’s the info:

    My nomination was:
    Category #24 Outstanding Crafts Achievement Off-Air - Musical Composition/Arrangement
Sean McKee - History of Russian Borders.

It was written for Lee Abrams’ (Co-founder of XM Radio) TouchVision TV news station, which is available on all cable providers in Chicago, Milwaukee and South Bend, also on the web and free mobile apps.

Hope to see you all there! If there's enough of a response in advance, I will let the TV crew know to expect you so they can possibly get some shots of your cars, though that may be more likely during the red carpet before the awards... Either way, just an idea, should be a great day!

    Cheers,
    Sean

Nicolas Tremulis won the category, but getting the nomination was an honor. Perillo was a sponsor, and they had a Lambo, Rolls Royce and some other cars there. Didn't know they stepped up the dealership!
