Scottish f-chatters, you are most welcome to join us in the afternoon of Thursday 4th August, where we will be displaying the cars in the pedestrianised area at the lower end of Fort William high street. Also for any of the drives we have planned between the 4th and 6th August. PM me and I will give you my number & a brief itinerary. Thanks, Marc
..I hope and trust Nathalie and I have the 'treehouse suite' Hedge - seriously, looks an awesome place, with a great list of people and cars. Fantastic job - we are sooooooooo looking forward to it - as is the new engine!!!
Marc Still trying to decide wether to come up to yours on the Monday evening. What is the latest that we could arrive - given the early 5am start the next day. How long is the journey from yours to Fernie Castle ?
It's a bit over 400 miles, so I guess it depends how fast we are going!! err, I mean how much traffic there is! I guess 10pm would be a sensible time but if it's a bit later, not a problem. Earlier and I might even feed you!
Have you seen what they charge for it?..not quite within the group budget but if you want to call and see if it's free, go for it! I am intrigued to see it..looks fab.
Very excited - I just got off the phone with the Ben Nevis distillery who have agreed to open out of hours to show us around and let us taste the whiskys! The hotel is 400m away so no need to drive either, although they would like a piccie in front of the distillery so we'll oblige at some point. http://www.bennevisdistillery.com/ The chap also mentioned an eccentric Italian millionaire who lives in Fort William where we are staying and collects Ferrari's! Hopefully he will be joining us at some point!
When will you be in or around Inverness? Might have to take a sickie from work to have a peek at some of your ferraris!
Hi Col, We will be passing that direction next Friday, probably late morning, but not stopping. Best time to have a proper look would be Thursday afternoon (4th) when we are displaying the cars in the pedestrian parade area of Fort William high street. Make yourself known if you come, Marc
ready and excited. have been pming and emailing with people, and we are all set. See you there Tuesday afternoon! Can't wait!
woo-hoo!!!!!!!! I just went to log off, then thought 'STEVIE - he back!!' Nice to see you posting again!
Marc Thanks for the kind offer. If it is still OK we will leave home (having eaten - so as not to be too much trouble!) at about 6pm, this means we should miss the M25 going home free for all !! Guess we should be with you at about 8pm ? - please PM me directions if it is still OK to stay over Monday night. Could you also outline briefly the daily itinerary - especially for Sunday as we have to be back home at a reasonable hour. Thanks alot Kevan
Sir, twould be a pleasure, you have pm. twill be a slumber party as Mike (my co-pilot is also staying. what fun we will have! M
we will dude - sad you are not there but we will toast you (and would have made toast of your Porsche anyway)
Optional golf in Fort Augustus is planned on a course at the bottom of Loch Ness which apparently it is not uncommon to see sheep on..so you can earn a sheepie for hitting one below par.. Anyhoo, the course have said they can hire clubs, so no need to take up any valuable luggage space! As it's gone midnight, we are officially starting this thing tomorrow! ****!!!! Still quite a lot to do!! :O
Have(My Wife actually) arranged for Us to be parked here for Wednesday, the local press will also be in attendance. http://www.oldcoursehotel.co.uk/index.cfm?menu=2090&openitem=2090 Just a cheap little place in ST.Andrews!!
