I would like to hear opinions of what the cars image represents, old models and new of each, if you are what you drive what does each represent when you see them on the road.

I am not talking about magazine racing 0-60, hot lap crap which no-one except very few know, just the rep and image.

to me a laborghini represents someone who wants to be seen and wants the attention alll on them. To me a Ferrari is super classy and meant to be driven everyday not just on weekends. But i have neither but i sure would like one

Honestly, I think with the 80s and early Diablos the perception was that they were very showy. With the Murci and the Gallardo... I don't know, they seem less out there, and I think that at least some of the owners are less out there too. Fact is that they are great cars and much more driveable that the ones in the past. So I think they may be attracting a new kind of client.

Ferrari is going to get you the job of Bank Manager.

Lamborghini is going to get you the job of Managing a Strip Club. :)

    Ferrari drivers wear buttoned shirts.

Lambo drivers unbutton their shirts to show the curlies.

Ferrari Drivers wear a Stethoscope around their necks.

    Lambo Drivers wear Gold Chains.

Ferrari owner has a BMW in garage next to F-car

Lambo owner has a 82 Vett in the driveway on blocks.

OK OK One for the Lambo guys:

Ferrari owners wear ball caps to cover up the naked dome.

    Lambo owners have mullets.

    OK I’m out of here...

A lamborghini is for someone that wants the whole package, exotic performance as well as exotic looks.

A ferrari is for someone that just wants to be seen, semi exotic looks (atleast until you see a few 360s everytime you leave the house) and sub Z06 performance

I think its easy to classify Ferrari owners as classy and Lambo owners as showy. While this stereotype certainly holds strong in certainly instances, I have definitely seen some sketchy Ferrari owners, and have met some really cool Lamborghini owners. Most of the "Miami Vice" kind of guys who owned Countachs in the 80s have since sold their cars. There are also many enthusiasts who own examples from each marque.

I see Lambo owners as the gold chains crowd. F owners are little showy but they also appreciate the race heritage.......hmm, I guess I'm referring to myself :)

Yea, Fcar owners love to talk about the heritage when they lose to the lambos.

WoW guys! I didn't think it was a war. I think both cars have their own charisma and it would be really hard to justify why and what type of people like em. I guess there is just a stereotypical way of putting things at times but nontheless they are both beautiful cars with great characteristics and if I had a choice, I would love to have both!!!^_^

Each owner is the same. I have owned both. Why biased enthusiasts insist on differentiating is beyond me. What a joke.

MPO, Ferrari, Lambo, Lotus, Saleen, whatever those exotics shown in Dupont Registry magazine for sale, they are basically all same. Cool looking, fast, & rare cars.

I read prior posts, and honestly surprised how people describes Lambo owners. (maybe they are just making fun) I don't have any stereotypes for F or L owners as I don't know many of them. Most car collectors I know have or had own both of them.

Ferrari is rather affordable than Lambo. If I see pre-94 Diablo that I can buy at less than $100K, I would be interested. That's why I am hoping w/in 5 years, Gallardo will depreciate to what 355 or 360 is experiencing so I could buy one!

There are too many exotics I want, not enough money!

Ferrari is the king of exotics for me, especially 328 was since it was the first F I encounter. Lambo is like the king's brother.

Lambo owners claim Ferrari owners always fall back on the racing hertitage, but yes you see a Ferrari and people know it has a racing pedigree, and mystique and Lambo doesn't. So what does Lambo represent?

I am not trying to start a war with this thread but I figured it would get entertaining, I see on other sites a lot of Lambo owners talking smack and claiming how superior their cars are to Ferrari but if Lambos are equal to a Ferrari why have all models just depreciated except the Miura? Most pre 70s Ferraris are worth the low 6 figures and many go to mid to high 6 figures up to 7 and 8 figures and are very collectable.

I was really surprised to see the hostile attitude of Lambo owners!

I'm in the market for a Diablo Roadster (still keeping the 355 spider) and last night went to ********************* for the first time - just to look at tech section, etc etc.

Seems like every other post was F-Car bashing and they even mention this web site in a derogative manner.

I'll say one thing...F-Chat is a first class act and that is reflected in the nature of our posts and the quality of our members -

    Very disappointing -

I myself am a big big Ferrari Fan, but Lamborghini is so much more aggressive, brutal, and to say Ferrari isn't showy and Lamborghini is, that brings no logic to me.

Lamborghini made tractors and toasters. They were the bottom of the class in all respects in both of these fields.

Ferrari made cars that won F1 so many times that the official F1 yearbook has a Cavallino Rampante printed on the cover.

Lambo has..a long string of nothing noteworthy in racing, and nothing noteworthy in all of racing. They also have a keen history of receivership and not paying the bills on time.

    {personal attack deleted by Brian C. Stradale}

The rest of us will continue to drive our slow 308's, our sluggish 328's, our 456's and our 550's well into oblivion while Lambo of North Amarica stuggles to sell **** while FNA has waiting lists.

We are all grown men!! We buy what WE want to buy with OUR money. If you like Ferrari, well, more power to you. I am a Lambo owner and I can appreciate ANY exotic. I'm sure there are some Lambos out there you would like to have in your garage next to your F-car, as there is some Ferrari's like the f-50/Enzo i would like in mine next to my Diablo. I heard someone break it down like this.................The Ferrari is your nice, brunette, college girlfriend you take home to meet your Parents, and the Lambo is The , sexy, slutty, blond, bombshell that deep down every wants to take for a spin!!
