So I was at a car/ watch event over the weekend here in Atlanta. I took my 599, and there were a bunch of Lamborghini's, McLaren's Koenigsegg, etc.. and only 3- 4 other Ferrari's. There was a nice Blue TDF and then my car as the only front engine v12 cars. I was talking with an independent dealer and he was saying that the values on V-12 cars are climbing? this was news to me, as I was thinking that they just did not hold value. His reasoning is that Ferrari is moving more towards V-6 turbo, HyKers etc... vs. the V12.... My question is ... Is that really happening? I'm not in the market so only follow pricing here and there...but I was still thinking that V12 front engine cars still depreciating way faster than the V8 mid engine cars? Thoughts?

I think most v12's short of the 12c and *maybe* the 812 have bottomed out on their prices and once they're old enough, will turn classic and might start to swing upwards. They won't hit the moon like the special cars of TDF or GTO, but they'll slowly swing up over an extended amount of time.

The intrinsic value is remaining the same. The dollar is worth less daily. That creates the illusion of rising value, when all it is is rising prices.

All but the newest V-12s are on the upswing as we get closer to the end of the era. I have mine, and only health will get me out of it if I can’t duck under the scissor door anymore.

To quote Will Rogers, “Buy land. They ain't making any more of the stuff”. He also said, “Don't wait to buy land, buy land and wait”.

    Insert V12 for land. :D
