EDIT: Never mind, the link doesn't work.

This is just a guess: I think it's between 75-100K.

I think the number is over 150,000 at this point.

According to annual production numbers Ferrari release they have produced 159496 cars up to the end of third quarter 2012. I guess that does not include F1 cars and prototypes.

Serial number 177690 was the 150,000th Ferrari made since the company's inception (if anyone owns this car, I'd love to know); serial number 202690 will be the 175,000th. The highest serial number I have at the moment is 191286 (others, I'm sure, have higher), which is the 163,596th Ferrari ever made. With or without F1 cars, the over/under on that being the exact figure is about 30-40.

I Personaly think the number is over 200 thousand. Still a low number in the grand scale of auto production. I strongly believe ferrari fudges production numbers.

I think those cars would have to either have duplicate serial numbers, or no serial number at all. And considering the discrepancy in the the actual figure and what you're proposing (40K+), I don't think it's possible. Ferrari has consistently misquoted the number of cars they'd make for a limited edition model; but they've been honest with the number of cars they've produced each year.

No matter what the number of Ferrari cars made is, IMHO, they should add one more VIN to their list. :)

This particular car (the P 4/5 C) has a modified 430 Challenge engine in it, has a proud race history, and shares its beautiful body lines with its sister official Ferrari (P 4/5).

I would like to know production number/total by year. Mine is 8169, so I have always been curious about how many were built in total by 1966.

Thanks, this is great. It looks like the production car counts are (very roughly) a little over half the serial number of a street car. This would seem to make sense because there were probably far fewer race cars (even S/N #'s) in any given year.

P4/5 C started life as a 430 Scuderia, as such it does have a Ferrari VIN, and is still officially known as a 430 Scuderia. Where as P4/5 is officially recognized by Ferrari as the "Ferrari P4/5 by Pininfarina" in their registry.
