saw two F430's today! first one i was sitting at a gas station on woodruff rd with my gf waiting on my friend and a grey F430 coupe just wails by and got damn it sounded good. then later that night we were downtown outside of sticky fingers and the same red f430 convertible i see off smith hines rd rolls through down main st.
I have never rushed home to reply to this thread. Normally I will wait a few days or so, then post. Today is an exception. I was driving home from dropping some friends off at the airport and on the way home I saw two extremely beautiful cars. Very rare cars. The first was a baby blue with white interior '55 Thunderbird. Soooo pretty. The second, and I nearly ran through the median to turn around to follow this one, was a bright red with tan interior 365 Daytona Spyder!!! Damn that was a pretty sight to see. Both of these were on 40 west and they were about a mile apart.
I saw a GORGEOUS Ferrari 360 Spider in Washington, top was down, and the driver had a sexy chick in the passenger seat. That car sounded AMAZING.
It was. They were both on 40 west between the 540 split, where I had gotten on 40 east from the airport, and the Wade Ave. split.
Went to VIR today for the VIR 400. Saw the following... Ferrari's: Red 348 TS Red 360 Spider (FCI) Yellow 599 GTB (FCI) Black F355 Others: DeTamaso Pantera Aston Martin Vantage V8 (FCI) Maserati Quattroporte (FCI) Maserati Grand Sport (FCI) Porsche 997 GT3 Ford GT Ford Shelby coupe replica More Cobra replicas than I can count Pretty much every other type of Porsche possible Alfa Romeo 164 A Fiat convertible that I am not familiar with Lotus Exige and Elises Not to mention lots of awesome motorcycles and race cars. Pictures will come some time soon.
My 348. You should have been there yesterday when there were two 599s (I cruised the paddock in a red one) and a couple 550s. Bob
On Saturday a Black F430 Spyder, a Silver Porsche Carrera GT, and a Lambo Gallardo (Dark Grey) was near the paddock at VIR.
There were actually two of them, a red and a blue one. They were the Fiat 124 Sport Spider. The guy with the red one there was trying to sell his for $4500, not sure if anyone wanted to buy an old, seventies, Italian convertible though. Go figure.
no F-car, but I ran into a Gorgeous 997 Turbo in Fletcher last night. It was the same color as Rubino's 997? The new Arena red I guess.
Black with orange lettering 997 GT3RS on Edwards Mill Rd. near Wade Ave. yesterday evening. (in Raleigh) Red F430 Spider at the intersection of Old Apex and Maynard Roads this morning at about 9:40. Had a personalized plate, but it slipped my mind and my phone pic wasn't clear enough. (in Cary)
Rubino 360 Spider on East Independance today around 1:00 in Charlotte, sounded very, very niiiccceee !!!!
I often see a Yellow 355 Spider around the Strickland Rd area, he was parked at Pipers Tavern yesterday.
Few days ago I was going into the Govenors Club and on it's way out was a dark gray Maserati Quattroporte. I remember several years ago while driving around in there, I saw 1 particular 3 car garage with 3 Ferrari's in it... a 308, a 355, and a Testarossa; all red. The guy in the driveway was washing a Mercedes.
i was highly disappointed when i came upon the black 997 turbo with black wheels i've seen many times lately, to find that is is indeed an automatic
Technically, a tiptronic.... but my question is....how is that any different than a paddle shift Ferrari, which are the most popular way Ferrari's are ordered now?
given 2 equal drivers.. a tip is faster than a 6speed by a hair.A tip isnt so bad and is pretty much teh same as an F1. I was actually looking for one when i bought mine.
