Guys, besides Foreign Cars Italia, are there any other good places to get work done on Ferraris in NC or SC (Charlotte area). By work done i mean like repairs, yearly service and the timing belt change. Or, are there any good independent Ferrari mechanics around the Charlotte area ??? Here in southern California are tons of other choices besides the overpriced Ferrari dealerships. I was jsut wondering how it would be around the Charlotte area. Thanks for any info !!!
Close to Charlotte? Sport Auto is up the road a bit from Foreign Cars Italia and they have a big following and very loyal customers. Towards Raleigh is Krause & England who have done my 328 in the past and now has done some work on my 355. Both shops are very respected and both monitor FChat.
Automotive International right off Tyvola is a solid group. They worked on my 308 QV , before I moved to a 348, and multiple other cars that are part of CAFE.
Make it three votes for Karl Troy. He is fair and honest and a pleasure to do business with. Thanks, Todd
I sent Karl an email from his website 2 weeks ago asking about service on my 246 GTS and never got a reply. Maybe an IT issue, or does he just not like to work on Dinos?
I am sorry, my website email is having problems again. Please call me directly on my cell at 843 478 LAMB or @ [email protected]. Karl
Are there any in Charlotte proper? I think Sport Auto would be a bit of a drive if your car is in need of service...
Jarrod at Automotive International is great, just did a major service on my testarossa, Iwould highly recommend him. He is very thorough and really knows his stuff. Nothing about service on a ferrari is cheap, but they rare very fair. RT
Tom (the mechanic) and Steve Barney at Sport Auto are outstanding. They have a very loyal customer base for a very good reason. When it comes to Ferraris....Steve is a very good person to get to know.
Try Eurowerks in Indian Trail. Jim just hired a seasoned Ferrari guy from what i remember last time i was up there. website is eurowerks.us..but call Jim Directly.
Sport Auto is in Summerfield (kind of between Winston Salem and G-boro) AI is right here in Charlotte (off of Tyvola Rd about a mile from I-77) If you call AI, ask for Jarod and tell him I sent you. He is AWESOME!!!
I'll have to defer to Jarod at AI on that one, but I do know his last quoted hourly rate on labor beat both FCI (of course) and Sport Auto. AI is about $75/hr last I checked, and there is NOTHING he cannot work on regarding Ferraris. He has a sweet 275 and about 6 other Ferraris in his shop right now.
