Looked at the timetable for Sunday. F1 Cars - warm up: 9.30am for 20 minutes - demonstration: 2.10pm for 40 minutes I was planning to join the convoy at Newport Pagnell but a 9.00am meet will mean missing the warm-up...
Anyone read the last post? Do we want to get to Don'ton for F1 practise? If so , we need to meet earlier......
This means the meet at Clacketts will now need to be at 6 Oh I'm going to be unpopular with the neighbours when I fire it up at about 5.15 Bollocks to em. If they spoke to me more often I might have felt guilty about it
I'm happy to go up earlier if thats what the convoy is doing - what time do you think you'll be at the newport pagnall services ? And can we all have a collective prayer for good weather.
According to RAC it's about an hour up to Newport Pagnell from where we're meeting so probably somewhere between 8 - 8.30 would be my guess?
hi tony any idea of time when passing the m 23 haveing to come in a loan maser as my 360 lasted one day and had to go back ?
Most of the guys meeting at Clacketts are coming from various parts of Kent, i'll be going straight to Cobham.I'm sure one of them will be on tomm to finalise details.
If we're meeting at 6 then allowing for the usual 10 minute chat etc we'll probably be going past the M23 at about 6.15 -6.20 I would have thought Not an exact science though
thanks guys may come to clackett for 6am if not will head up m25 for about 6 .15 the maser is light blue on a 53 plate will head up m25 slowly or i could e/mail some one my number thanks for your help .andy
Andy, if you can't find the Clackett boys , head straight for Cobham. I'll PM you my mobile now. Here's the hotel. http://www.hilton.co.uk/dispatch/ViewPropertyHomePageForm?hid=11001785&ViewPropertyHomePage=&formName=ViewPropertyHomePageForm
I'll be travelling up in a silver 355, Txxx JBA. Wish i could join your convoy, but I'll be joing the M1 or M42 north of Northampton. Honk if you see me! Both the car and I will be parked in the FOC area on Sunday- I hope I will bump into some of you. Robert.
Just got back from Donny: In summary i wonder what would have been there if owners hadnt brought their own vehicles other than burger vans and Rosso Corsa cars for sale. Highlights were the F1 cars bladdering round the track and killing myself laughing when a bloke parked a gorgeous Pagani Zonda right in the middle of the stands and walked off leaving many a Ferrari die-hard snapping and clicking away. Now thats cool! Still planning to go tommorrow to meet up with some of you guys and the Pistonheads crew.
WOW - sounds like its going to be a good one tomorrow! Living in Newport Pagnell, cant wait to see the F-cars - should give the local Astons a run for their money! I'll be in the red car leaving at about 8am ish - erm yes the red clio that is - feeling like an outcast!
