    Hello everyone! Especially Roma Owners!

I’m about to pull the trigger on buying a 2023 Ferrari Roma, but had this once last thought thats holding me back….

    1. Are there any exhaust options you can add during the new build from factory Ferrari, that makes the Roma any louder?

    2. I have seen the 3 different exhaust pipes
    - standard exhaust pipes
    - sport exhaust pipes
    - black ceramic exhaust pipes
Do any of these options influence the sound of the exhaust?

    3. Does the Roma have exhaust modes you can toggle from to change the sound of the exhaust while driving? (Similar to for example an Audi R8, or a Corvette C8)

Thank you in advanced for any responses

    1) Not that I'm aware of.
    2) Appearance only.
    3) Not "really."

It comes down to how the very rear section of the exhaust works. Most cars have mufflers in the far back, where the Roma has a ball valve. The valve is electronically controlled by the engine and is at times, variably open or partially closed. Other than that, particulate filters are the big buzzkills, and turbos muffle a lot of noise too.

The fabspeed exhaust package consists of a pipe section to eliminate this ball valve, as well as a new Xpipe to add a crossover mid stream. The combination of these two does add a bit of a higher tone to the noise with no real downsides. You might also choose from other companies that sell kits to remotely control those valves, leaving them always open.

Before you order an aftermarket exhaust, check with the dealer as to whether you will void the cars warranty. It seems anything with the GPF filter can’t be altered. I tried to change my system in my F8 and the dealer told me it was a no go or loose my warranty.

And if they tell you it will void the warranty, tell them it's illegal and you will sue them.

I think I’ll just avoid the hassle as many others have as well and leave the GPF exhaust alone. Life is to short man to get into a pissing match with Ferrari. If you decide to do it please keep us posted.

I have a delivery of my car scheduled for next week. Based on the videos and reviews I have seen, I am optimistic about the sound quality of the car. However, if I am not satisfied with the sound, I have considered the FAB and Novatech exhaust as alternatives.

I test drove a Ferrari Roma demo car at my local dealership and was impressed with the sound. However, it is important to be cautious about one's expectations. The car can be quite loud when driven aggressively, but in AUTO mode, it is quiet enough for daily use and phone conversations.

Good luck! I hope pull the trigger!

What is the car you're looking at? I bought a 2023 Grigio Ferro with 901 miles and a two-column list worth of options.

Is GPF on US cars? I was under the impression it was on EU cars not US.

I bought the Roma thinking I would go with the xpipe and rear section... but after actually owning it, I don't think I'll change a thing. It's just about perfect as it sits.

Yes ,unfortunately and it’s an issue with many of the dealers including mine F Tampa who won’t allow anything on the GPF exhaust to be messed with. I wish Ferrari would come up with a solution for us.
