Lmao have they ever seen Etsy? Disney is vigilant pursuing counterfeit merch so why wouldn’t Ferrari? I’d be interested to hear from a trademark attorney because IIRC they have to enforce their trademark to keep it? Something to that extent… Im actually shocked it’s taken them this long. Everyone with an embroidery machine, laser or cnc has been selling Cavallinos and logos forever now. Like I said above, just check out Etsy.
Exactly what I was thinking. They probably include an agreement that you’ll wear that **** for a certain number of hours/year. I’d love to see somebody show up at Cavallino in that rug,
The Ferrari snitch site doesn't even work. I tried to submit some faker because I wanted to see what sort of trinket Ferrari would send me. The site just keeps loading when you hit submit and nothing happens.
another example of how ferrari have lost judgement is there a single owner that cares about someone making unofficial merch? this is a company with 6bn+ turnover, it's insane that they are trying to squeeze every possible penny here and losing dignity in the process
You know I just thought of this; Maybe my old High School should take Ferrari to court for their infringement of the use of Havre High use of their prancing horse since the high school has been using it as the mascot since the early 1900s
Enzo Ferrari himself took the cavallino logo from a German fighter plane that he shot down or something like that! It’s well known. This thing they’re trying to chase is not logos that look like his or names, it’s the exact names and logos being used on non-Ferrari products and being sold as ‘Ferrari’. But I agree, it’s all a waste of energy and time anyway. Every good or known or designer brand on the planet has its fakes. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
I completed one of these to see what b.s. they'd send out (if anything) and I rec'd the item today. They kept referring to it as a "gadget" which made me think it'd be some nonsense that would go straight from the envelope to the trash but I was surprised. It ended up being a Ferrari leather key ring. Even came in a nice Ferrari box. Not good enough to make me actually report people, though, but it was better than I thought it'd be, haha. They call it a "gadget" because the gifts they send out are actually counterfeit products they have seized from such reporting
I suspected the keychain but the letter and the box are really tempting. Puling a 6ix9ine on some dumb dropshipper hustlebros and watching Ferrari sue them out of business seems like bad karma but moral values aren't really a strong point of reference for me anyways.
Manufacturing cost were probably $ 0.01 and the "product" looks like it was produced in Timbuktu or somewhere in China or India......... Marcel Massini
No no no. Not the manufacturer cost. The “gain” by the consumer! It’s a meme joke here. It may not have gone global
Re-submit photos of the key chain and tell them you suspect it's a counterfeit, and see if they send you another.
people who are hand crafting things on etsy tend to be extremely small busineses or just people by themselves, if putting a ferrari logo on a desk or something helps it sell then fine, encouraging a $5bn company to sue them just isn't right imo
I think a far bigger problem are replica cars.....some of which are not even build on Ferrari platforms nor do they have Ferrari engines.
if someone could afford to buy the real thing then they would and the numbers are so insanely small that it's shocking they care
I don't think that the number of reps on the road aren't necessary. Their route seems to be "obliterate anything that's outside our control in order to protect public image" with ICE going out of favour. The deadmau5 incident is an example of this, the modifications may have been horrendous but I would argue that those quirky sunglasses aren't much better. The question is "Can we control it?" rather than "Is it damaging to the brand value?"
If they don't want counterfeits, maybe they should start selling a meaningful amount of a items in the boutique at dealers again. I went to 3 stores last year and all they had were some keychains and stickerbooks, no shirts, hats, or anything else
I just went to Ferrari store in Aventura mall… had some cool stuff/ I got a couple wallet/card holders— saw some AWESOME high heel black boots for women!— and they also had some monte blanc pens including 1 of 599 SP3 Daytona pens for…….. $27,000!! Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
