I haven't had good luck with any of my Ferrari Puma shoes and I have bought several models. I'm also very easy on them because I only wear about once a week when driving or flying. They breakdown, tear, and rip easily. First time I wore one pair the little cloth loops they have instead of eyes for shoelaces ripped. Another pair didn't have that problem because they have solid eyes, but the shoe laces only lasted 3 months, easy to buy new shoe laces at least. 40% off deals for crap you still end up with crap.

Rob: the first sign of being obsessed with Ferrari is admitting you own Puma Ferrari shoes.

The first sign of being over obsessed is complaining on your own chat site about your Ferrari Puma shoes.

    :)

LOL, I wear much less Ferrari swag then I use to. No hats, only polo's from events like Crescent Classic or FerrariChat. I do like the thin soled Ferrari Puma driving shoes for flying and spirited driving though. Better than tennis shoes or flip flops, not cheesy as racing shoes. :) I just wish they weren't crap.

FYI, I don't like the obnoxious red ones or with BIG logos. I get black or white with just the tiny horse on them.

I bought a pair of Ferrari puma shoes back in 2006 and they are still in fine condition. I used to wear them a lot but haven't worn them in a few years.

I've had other Puma gear and it's been fine...have you tried returning/exchanging the stuff you have Rob?

that said I think most licensed merchandise is crap...although a lot of it is made by "generic" companies looking for a quick score aligning with some other brand.

The only time I ever bought a pair of Puma shoes they lasted me only a couple weeks before splitting--they were the only pair of shoes that I have had that were less durable than Nikes. My daughter had a pair of the trendy young lady Pumas in purple that she thought looked great but they wore poorly too.

The thin soles of the Five Fingers are way better than any of the other thin soled shoes I have found--and they last pretty well. Nobody will confuse them with Ferrari swag. They do come in red.

not worried about broken shoe laces, but the following is unacceptable. I really just don't want to deal with it, finding which online shop I bought from etc. I would rather just warn others to be careful with the models using cloth loop eyes.

are you sure you didn't buy the counterfits ... Puma brand sweetened with Ferrari logo means a ton of profit....especially when you don't shop at a real Ferrari store ( you did say you can't remeber where they came from ) :=) :=)

Rob...maybe you forgot to buy the batteries. My red Pumas run great and have no had any blowouts of anykind. F-shoes are like 328s...regular belt (laces in this case) service required.

Probably just needs a belt, I mean lace, service. It used to be done every 5 mos but now the factory has shortened the interval to every 3 mos.

If they were Enzo era Pumas, you wouldn't be asking these questions: Contact Ricambi for better than OEM replacements, perhaps Dave Helms has a SRI solution ;)

I got a pair of Kimi edtion pumas in 2008, still going strong and i wear them a lot.

Is it possible that yours are fakes? I see often loads of fake Puma Ferrari stuff, very good fakes at that in markets in south east asia..

I got a pair of the Puma Ferrari ones at the 40% sale at the Puma site recently. Used them on the drive to CNC and thought they were great and very comfy. They'll only be used for driving the FCar, so hopefully they'll last since they look really good. This is the only Ferrari logo'd clothing I have.

I bought some Puma's years ago and they didn't fit me well. Sold them to Tillman, and I think his dog later chewed them up. It was my first real meeting with Tillman, and we exchanged the goods at a local slot car track. Seems like it was a lifetime ago. Probably more like 8 years.

i dont think i have ever seen a quality ferrari licenced product. Most of that stuff seems to be very cheaply made. Except for the watches..which I would love to own one day. I just have the hats that I wear while working. I can turn a red Ferrari hat black in 4.3 seconds!!

The best Puma's my daughter ever bought were admittedly fakes that she bought in "Smuggler's Alley" downtown, L.A. All of the real ones we have owned (few for me, I admit), fell apart quickly.

Rob, if you wouldn't tie your shoes so TIGHTLY, you wouldn't have that problem. And you wonder why your toes are purple! :)

Buy Pilotis for driving and flying.

We've been down this road before - the stuff made by Nino Cerruti was 'nice', but Euro-small in size and VERY expensive. Then the Nice-Man stuff came out, and that was crap - I actually spent time with needle and thread trying to repair holes. Then there was Tommy Hilfiger, now Puma.....none of it really good.....at some point, you just have to stop buying it. None of the branded F1 stuff is worth ANYTHING close to what you're spending on it. I can count maybe 3-4 pieces of branded Ferrari merchandise I'm actually glad I bought, and almost all of it is NLA.

I bought a pair online many years ago and they fit tight, so didn't wear them. Personally I like Geox shoes as they breath. They're an F1 sponsor of the Redbull team. Puma stuff in general seems so-so and doesn't really fit that great overall, even the clothes.

I have had a pair of Puma Ferrari shoes for a couple of years now. I only use them for driving. I like the thin sole and small heel. Mine have an insert that appears to have small carbon fiber plates on the bottom of it. They fit like a glove and have had no problems with them. I did end up having to order them twice because the first pair was too small. I never did get around to returning the first pair so I have a size 10-1/2 brand new in the box. :)

I don't buy the Ferrari stuff but I do buy Puma especially for the kids and they love it . Wears very well . Its the swag without the swagger.

I have a pair of Puma that I wear to work and still going after 8 months

I especially like their golf gear .
