Where is the best place to get a pit crew shirt? The stuff on ebay looks really fake. I want to get one as accurate as possible. I really don't want to shell out full price for a real one but does anyone know anyone or anywhere with either 1) Cheap official ones or 2) Good Quality replica stuff (Sorry theo, but the prices are too $$$$)

    Thanks

    Real = expensive

    Fake = cheaper

That's the facts....Collector's Studio has already gotten new Puma.

JMJ Automobilia has ALL the years back to Tommy Hilfiger, and does have some items on sale...........that are still expensive!

What I want is red coveralls, I was going to buy a pair at Laguna Seca this year but they were $300 and the wife had a fit, wish I had ignored her and done it.

Red with Ferrari accross the back and a small prancing horse on the front pocket with Ferrari above it...where can I find one ? I have looked all over, I know they are made because they had lots in Monterey.

I don't mean the overalls they race in, I mean coveralls to work in the garage with.

I bought a real ferrari jump suit for my mechanic a few years ago at the Ferrari shop on Maranello. It wasn't very expensive maybe 50,000 Lira
at the time. ( that's $30). It wasn't a F1 pit crew outfit which are fireproof
of three layers and almost as expensive as a modern driver's suit. FIA demands Nomex suits and helmets for the crews these days.

I also have somewhere the original light blue Dunlap coveralls circa 1950,
    they are reproduced today.

Get to be friends with someone on the team. Lots of the mechanics will give away some of their items at the end of the season. Ferrari does try and make sure that they aren't selling the stuff on the side (the real stuff has the mechanic's name embroidered). If you are friends and someone asks, no big deal.

    Here's what you do......

The same shop does my kart racing shirts and suits that takes care of Ferrari of Houston....

They have all the logos already set up for the badges, logos, Challenge series, everything!

They could do these overalls or polo shirts, no sweat!

    Monogram Makers
    713 977-1480
    713 977-4236

For overalls that would be the best way.....fair pricing as well.

I was paying about $32 each for the polos with a shield and a name on the front and a Ferrari bar logo on the back, like the dealership shirts.....

I had Bill Kirchen sign one,....."Hot Rod Lincoln" !!!!!!

"My pappy said, 'Son you're gonna drive me to drinkin'.'....."

I am interested in finding official replica Fila pit crew shirts, a polo and a short-sleeve button-up shirt. Both, or either, with Marlboro logo, if possible. I had one of each, but my dry cleaner stole them both, so I'm trying to replace them.

The Puma stuff would be okay, but I guess I'd prefer the same as what I had. I found a couple places on the internet, Autosport-Gear.com and F1-Shopping.net, both British I think. I emailed both to find out if they had official Fila (not off brand), and I never heard back. Looks like Fila will be hard to find, since Puma is taking over. Any suggestions?

I say use ebay. I have paid between $15 and $20 for shirts that you cannot tell the difference and have washed and worn well for over 5 years. They are worth every penny, hell they have way over $15 worth of cool patches. If you just have to pay $200 for an "authentic" one then have at it but why? Take the plunge for the $15 version and I promise you will be glad you did. I have people stop me when I wear mine just to ask where I got it (no sponser white-out on the patches). I am surprised at how much people notice it at a F1 race of all places.

They are all made in the same sweat shop in indonesia anyway. The only difference is that Ferrari didn't get their 5000% mark-up cut. Don't feel bad, they'll get it back when you buy a part.

Go ahead and get the "cheap" one and just suffer the ridicule from all the people who are so much smarter then you and pay more

I'm not paying $200 for sure. I originally got them at the Indy F1 race the last two years for $70-85, one of them with Marlboro patch. That one got quite a few looks and questions about it. I don't care for the censorship thing, so I prefer the "evil" version.

I'm one of the three people who have never used Ebay, so my auctioning skills are pretty dull. However, I'll put that on the list to check out.

    Thanks

I couldn't live without ebay. I think it's the second greatest internet product behind email. Once you try it, you'll be hooked.

I like the authentic tobacco-branded Ferrari stuff, but just can't justify paying the prices. I've got a few different crew shirts, but the only Ferrari shirt I have is a Cerrutti from '97, I believe. I'd be extremely happy if one of the jackets fell out of the sky. Or off a truck:)

I bought this Tommy Hilfiger Pit crew Jacket because I really liked the design. The only problem is that it costs more than most of my suit jackets. Please find below some pics I found on the internet of the same jacket.

1999.........several interesting points about that piece...last appearance of the classic Magnetti Marelli patch on the crew....also last year of the real Ferrari Red color before going to Ferrari TV Red, which is more orange.

    Full Marlboro......

That's the one I wear for 'everyday'....I have newer ones, but that's the one that 'get's 'er done!'......LOL!

Grease stains optional..........$1000 -$1200 is market value....

You're right, about the same as a Brioni.......

I'm surprised the Marlboro shirts aren't plentiful from sources in Europe, specifically from the countries that allow their advertising in F1 . The few Fila shirts I'm finding are $125 Canadian (non-Marlboro) at Collector's Studio, on up to a few $100!

BTW, I have to ask, what does this mean? "Real crew clothes........fake Oakleys! LOL!"
