    My Ferrari's STICKY interior solution:
A Real problem solver. There is a solution for us. It costs from $25 to a couple of hundred dollars depending on how extensive your "sticky" problem is and also how much work you want to do and how extensively you are willing to it yourself.
Keep in mind not all plastics are equal, and test all surface before using any product. Avoid any caustic chemicals that attack plastics like acetone, lacquers based products, and certain denatured alcohols (ex:paint cleaners/removers) and any petroleum based product that is not specifically made for use on plastics of any kind.

I have found my bullet proof solution:

    1) Camco 210 Plastic Cleaner Polish 14oz Spray 40934 ( to remove goo)

    2) Camco 210 plastic scratch remover ( to remove scratches)

2a- Use only Isopropal alcohol to remove any residue when done pr
ior to using step 3 and always after removing the 'Goo' from your parts to prep for a good plastic sealant made for car interiors (ex: Lexol vinyl interior protector)

    3) Eastwood.com /Eastwood Plastic Resurfacer Matte Black Aerosol
Item #15089Z Plastic paint. ( TO RESTORE AND SEAL from future UV damage; but only on
solid black plastic or rubber surfaces that do not have decals or overlays displayed.)
    4) Microfiber towels or lint free alternative.

Its time we had a solution on this site that really has worked for me on my cars. I have spent the better part of 2 years trying everything else, and believe it yourself when you use this process.
    1) Mask or remove your items, spray the cleaner, let soak for 10-15 minutes, use microfiber lint free towels to remove the black gummy soft touch coating on your items.
Once the surface is tack-free; then use Isopropal alcohol to sterilize surface for finish with any clear plastic sealant/protector made for car interiors.
    2) On any parts that require recoloring or reconditioning that do not have labeling or lettering you can use the Eastwood product to recolor and fully seal and protect part from future UV discoloration and remain sticky-free.

I tried the eastwood resurfacer on the gauge pod on my 355.

I got a dirt nib in it. Decided to sand it and clean for repaint.
I used serwin Williams wax and grease remover and it wiped right off.

So I ended up stripping them and using sem trim black for the gauges and gauge bezels.

The camco 210 didn't work on my sticky parts at all.

Go for it. I used Greased Lightning and a lot of paper towels. I did them in place and did not treat the open closed dial marks in the notches. After that I use armorall on all the plastic with no respray. My drivers left vent is cracked on top under the leather anyway. I didn't want to make it worse. The other console marks are on the plastic and buttons so no trouble there.

    Refinished the entire interior......
used oven cleaner for the large parts (and some SOS pads) and rubbing alcohol (with a rag) for the small delicate parts such as electrical switches.
Refinished the parts with Dupont automotive grade flat black paint.
The electrical parts did not require any painting.
Looked OEM when I was finished.
