I've only ever done motorcycle track days, so I don't know if it's normal for car days to be that expensive or not but wow, $995 for a track day is pretty steep.

If it’s limited to less drivers I would pay more.

I am under the impression it’s a private event so not sure how many people are going.

I went last year and had a good time. Its not that many cars so you actually get some good track time

Did one last year, red group with only one other car. Track time was good, but track is terrible. Tight with limited/no runoff areas.

Event was really well run by FOW, but the track track... I won’t go back. Do something at VIR or WG.

Was there this past weekend with TrackDaze. I have run this track several times, and it just keeps getting worse. Pavement is uneven in multiple places. IMHO the braking zones are getting rougher; turns 1, 11 and 12 under the bridge. The undulation in these brake zones makes them very unpredictable. ABS kicks in and hold on. Summit Point was just repaved, VIR is wonderful, Pittsburgh another great track in the area. My 02 cents is give it a pass.

Do a Chin Motorsports event at VIR or WG.

Word from FoW is that they have about 15 participants for this event. Track conditions aside, if you're looking for a good, low-key, first track event, this just might be the ticket. FWIW, YMMV, yadda yadda....
