What have your experiences been with Ferrari of Newport Service pricing?

I am not looking for the lowest price or if pricing is a little more, I don't care. But I am finding them to be double to triple what other Ferrari dealers quote.

They quoted me $900 to install this trim piece above the glove box #87172800

One Ferrari Dealer said they would put it in for free for me. They said their labor guide showed it is a 1 hour labor job. I will admit that I have a friendship there. They are very far away.

I called a Dealer that is a couple hours away and they quoted me $300.

Newport is so much more convenient for me. But the labor seems so incredibly off.

Am I off base? Are the other dealers not familiar enough with this install and its much more complicated are you having similar experiences?

Ask yourself how much is your time worth?
This is how I base my decisions when competing quotes are on the table.
There is a cost for convenience as I've come to learn and accept, the latter being the key in that sentence.

Maybe the other dealers are underestimating the job

You can probably find a cost-effective local independent who has relevant experience

Ferrari Newport and Ferrari San Diego have been recently purchased by the same new owner, and immediately after the purchase raised the labor rate to $300.00 per hour. Makes my $175.00 per hour seem like chump change ! ( the pricing at Newport may be higher than San Diego, because of a more affluent clientele)

In Orange County you are spoiled for choice with independent shops. A one hour book time job for a piece of trim more than likely can be done in half that time. $900 is obscene even by Ferrari standards. Heck even an upholstery shop can do the job for you.

Closing the loop on this. Went to Ferrari of San Diego and made a day of it with my wife. Took them 40 minutes and they removed the air conditioning control dash unit held on by a few screws and glove box. They did not remove the dash covering the airbag.

300 dollars and they tightened by lug bolts to 120 NM per the wheel falling off posts in the 488 section , and checked my brake fluid level per the 488 brake recall that Ferrari has not figured out how to fix.

Really nice experience and it I think this is evidence of very fair pricing from this dealership.
