In a little over a week, I intend to drive my 328 from Atlanta up to the FCA annual meet in Corning, NY. Although my mechanic is prepping the car and says that I should not worry, it is a 32-year-old Italian car with over 100,000 miles on it and I've never driven it this far before.

I would like to keep a file on recommended independent Ferrari mechanics that are fairly near to my chosen route. If anyone has any recommendations, please say so in the next week.

My route thru your area will be along I-81 from Bristol (VA) to Harrisburg, then US-15 and US-220 north to Sayre (PA). (On my way back, I may stop in Lancaster (PA) so I may go east to Binghamton (NY) then south on I-81 and I-476 to Allentown and US-222 to Lancaster.)

From I-81 corridor, Ferrari of Washington will be the closest. The best shop would be Competizione and Sports Cars, but they will be further from that area.

I-81 can be a brutal road, many accidents and slow spots, be careful.

Most are east of your route except for your trip back. Some trusted sources:

Radcliffe Motor Cars, Owings Mills, MD
    Rosso Service, Forest Hills, MD
    Scuderia Performante, Malvern, PA

I know the first two are FCA regional sponsors.
    Hope you’re trip goes well.

Agree with the FOW and Competizione recommendations.

Also another place in the Northern Virginia area is Loudoun County Exotics near Dulles Airport.

Good advice to heed. I-81 has grown to about 40% trucks in recent years. Not pleasant.

I've traveled I-81 in my Honda on occasions. It used to be pleasantly free of traffic but now it really needs 2 lanes added.

Don't forget to check brakes, there are some serious hills/grades on I81 out of Bristol.
