The sign's been up for the last couple of weeks and I heard it through my neighbor that the permits were approved back in November. There should be a grand opening late spring early summer.

Wow, a Ferrari dealer right in our backyard...can't wait!

They were supposed to open october of last year. The location is so bizarre. You have the hanky panky and adult bookstores across the street, and a flower nursery next door.

Plus, the building is old and in crappy condition. Used to be a backwater office for EMC.

Let's see what happens. My guess - nothing before october-november this year.

2750 El Camino RWC. Phone 650-261-6000. Cross street Oakwood. Looks like metal framing going up and lots of duct work on the inside.

Wow. Sounds like you spend a lot of time in that part of town. Buying porn or flowers, Dan?

Or both? After all, you do seem to really miss ol' Spicy Butt a lot...

Drove by today and saw the location. Sure, it is with the hanky-panky shops and whatnot, but most of the other dealers I've visited have not really been in the best locations either (Ferrari of Ontario and Ferrari of Seattle come to mind). Maybe we're just spoiled by having FoSF at such a nice location...

The bulding though, does seem to look a little dated and I saw some grafitti on onw of the windows, but hopefully everything will look better once it's all done.

My company is potentially going to do their IT network and following support. (I actually have plans for the place in my office!! Does this empower me in some way??) I never thought owning a Ferrari would reap such rewards!! (Actually the car had nothing to do with it. Oh well, I can dream can't I??) I can't say more at this point, especially since it is far from a done deal, but I will update if any useful/non-confidential information becoms available. One thought: The building may be close to little Tijuana, but it is equally close to deepest darkest Atherton. Last time I looked Atherton was not a slum...Word is the powers that be are looking at an April opening. We have worked with the facilities people that are managing the project for years, so it is a good fit for us and for them. Hopefully this post won't jinx anything. As an aside, how come so many of you know the exact whereabouts of the local porn stores??

    Cheers,
    dce

    David,

Wish you the best and hope you get the contract dude! I drive by almost daily and they're hard to miss. But they have been able to coexist with the Taco Bell, the Indian Restaurant and many other businesses.

    Cheers,
    Matt

I know the area well because I grew up here - in fact, I went to high school in Atherton (menlo school). I know Art Z is on Selby, which is 2 miles from the shop, but still...

It is in fact owned by Art and will be run by Giacomo of FoBH. I wonder what they are doing about allocation or if they are actually going to pass on it. Anyone on their list??? I am surprised it took this thread so long to start.

When is the thread about FoSF being up for sale going to start????????

I heard from a credible source ART has taken 50% of FoSF allocation. I am somewhat reluctant on putting my name down for a F430 before I drive one or see one in person. I am too keen about its styling.

On the FoSF front, I heard the Giuolio was out and his CFO from FNA took over as GM (Tom Vitale) a few weeks ago. I heard they were getting groomed for a sale but donno anymore than that. Maybe that's why a bean counter is put in charge.

I'm with Wonkazoo on this one. This is a great location! Anyone who lives in a 6 million dollar house off of Atherton Ave will drive by on their way to 101. The service department is going to have great business, right out of the gate.

I heard that Art gets first shot at buying the FoSF store. Anyone know of any others that might take a crack at it? Tom Price was in the rumor mill, but I cant think of anyone else that might step up.

Oh and I know that there has been talk about the factory selling FoSF, but I mean just recently it has become more of a reality with the various things going on.
