    There were some kids, in their 20's, taking photos as the cars came in. Then they saw this, I laughed and told them "That............. is the reason you buy a Porsche".

    I may have on blinders, but I still love the Ferrari cars best. Yeah, I know there are other "off" brand cars.. but you know, when I look at 50 years of Porsche, it is like looking at 50 years of the Rolex Submariner, sure it is nice, well built, a good choice, I give it that for sure and then some. But a Ferrari will still melt my face. Over 50 years of Ferrari and you see cars you can't believe, like seeing a Van Gogh, hard to imagine that such a thing was created.
    So my sister drives a Porsche, and I drive a ferrari, but the funny thing is, and we laugh about it. She would not have my car, and I would not have her car. Every time I drive it, I think really............. and when she takes out my V12, she is like....... seriously.... you push in a clutch.

    lol...yes, the battery finally bit the dust....and yes, they created their own series because of the porsche..This was a day full of folly and fun.

    Well, on a positive note, I won First in Class, Dino. Granted there were only 3 Dinos....


    But....

    I also won the BMW Corporate award which is "The People's Choice" which is The Big Kahuna for the whole show! Not just Ferrari, best in show! Whole dang show!

    It's interesting how they do the awards.

    There are 10 corporate awards.

    They are announced at the banquet.

    Until they are announced the 10 people know they won a corporate award but they have no idea which one, they keep that a secret.

    It became kind of became obvious after the first nine were announced and I knew I was the only one left so I got the People's Choice. :)

    Great show, first time I had a car running and could attend. Ferrari showing was great, amazed to see so many 512bbs in one place. I had never really had that much time to look at one that closely, what a neat Ferrari. Will be sure to attend next year, should have my two projects completed by then.

    Now I recognize the Stig! Cool.

    Thanks for taking such a nice shot of my car. It won a third place in Division 6.

    Melissa and I thoroughly enjoyed the festival and David Scott did a great job for us with the hotel, restaurant, and the event. We loved meeting all the people and the cars and look forward to being there again soon.
