    Shell V-power Gasohol 95

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Since, just like many places, there is no more unleaded gasoline here in Thailand FYI.
This morning, I did filled up my Stradale w/ Shell V-power Gasohol 95. May probably be
the very first few Ferraris in country. Will report u guys whats going on later.
Hopefully, thing would be good as wish!
    My fingers crossing...

So far on d way back home, my Stradale was still running great 'n blasting loud as ever
if not better. As we all know, Maranello 'n Shell are long time business partners.
They have been working successfully togetherin product development for long.
So I'm pretty confident in their team-up.

Pls note that soon there ll b an official announcement regarding what Ferrari models
can use this V-power gasohol 95.
    Stay tune guys...

Any comment from users in the US!? IS IT OK FOR FERRARI CARS?? Any damage reports from using sohol???

    Cheers, Kenny

What is the ethanol content percentage? Probably car will run fine on it, but the danger is that the ethanol in the fuel will, over time, cause abnormal deterioration of certain rubber parts and seals.

what?? no more unleaded gas? you are mistaken. i doubt there is anyplace in the world that doesn't have unleaded gas.

From the links you sent, Gasohol 95 is E10, which is what is commonly available here in the US. (It's hard to get anything else.) The 95 must be referring to the RON. It's perfectly safe for any modern Ferrari. For older Ferraris, the fuel system may need upgrading to handle the 10% ethanol, but that would be the case most anywhere in the world.

Thats exactly what I wanna know! My friends who driving 348, 355, 512, 575,...do concern alot about this. Shell has no answer at the moment. My dealer said Maranello suggest E10 for all current models (...also safe for model year 2006 and up), but they are waiting for more info on older cars.

    Cheers,

That's what the pumps here near Seattle are pumping for several years ... year round now - used to be only
part of the year. No issues with my 328 thus far.

When I was in High School they told us: gasoline and alcohol do not mix (no drinking and driving).

But it is hard to find gas w/o alcohol. No problems so far with the 2002 360. Life is good. ;)

It appears to be 10% the same as what is sold throughout much of the NW USA these days.

We have had 10% stuff for a few years now. I have not heard of much issue with it...but fear if they increase it anymore there may be...

I am going to try the V-Power, but the problem is that it's only 91. I am not sure if we get the 95 here in Canada. I am going to stop into a Shell tomorrow to check. Right now I use Sunoco Ultra 94, but all the Sunocos being switched to Petro Canada - by far the worst fuel in the country so I will never use their gas again.

    95 = 91

The "Gasohol 95", if the 95 refers to the octane, is referring to RON. In Canada they use AKI like the US. RON 95 is AKI 91. Furthermore, in Canada you've probably had E10 (ie, "Gasohol 95") for years, just like in the US.
