Has there been any discussion or explanation of what appeared to be an asymmetrical use of brake housings in last week's F1 event? I noticed it in practice garage shots, and it seemed to still be the case on race morning. The left front wheel appeared to be running without the cylindrical housing that usually contains the entire assembly (presumably to control airflow within the wheel). I wondered if they were using this approach to keep the LF brake temp balanced in a course with more right hand than left hand turns. Did anyone else notice and wonder about it? I didn't hear the Sky commentary mention it, but I admit I did not watch every minute of every session.
