Ok, so as much as I have had cars in the show, this was only the second horse trophy I have received. I think it was the first or second show we received one, but I am happy not being a Horse Hog. This show is great due to so many people being willing to bring their cars. When I brought the Ellena, I figured it would be a great likelihood to get a horse. And then Bob brought his GTE. The GTE kicked the Ellena's butt and rightfully so. We have seen cool vintage stuff off and on over the years, I really wish we could get a better vintage turn out. This is the coolest part about showing what the Ferrari Marque is about. There aren't enough vintage cars to make this happen, but how cool would it be to have a line up that went by age with all era's represented? Even 308/328/Mondial/400/TR had very limited representation. Everything before that was almost unseen.
Tx246. Must be your Dino! I bow to its awesomeness! Here is mine . . . A bit more pedestrian - but i still love it! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
A cool car. I have a 360, the closest modern day car to a Dino, but still hugely different. I love your wheels. Shawn
Dave, It was nice chatting with you about fun Ferrari stuff, not the typical stuff, but awesome none the less. How come I have never met Helen before? In all of these years, I am feeling guilty. I think for the next event, we need to have a drink and have a toast. God bless cars that are 30+ years old! Here's to you 🍷🍺🍻
First of all EVERYONE likes Helen, can you blame them? I married WAY up. Funny I was just sending you a PM about getting together socially. I agree with you about vintage cars needing to come out and play.
Agreed would be awesome to get more of the older models & organize by model! That's the most 308/328's I've ever seen at any event
This was a fantastic show as always. Next year there will be a Saturday event tied to the Sunday show to mix things up a bit and give out a few extra prizes.... Also, The 288 at the show on Sunday was not the same 288 that was in Dallas...
Thank you all for coming. The crowd this year was far greater than we ever anticipated. Next year we will rope off all the cars and that will hopefully keep the cars safe. I think selling wristbands for food will trim the crowd a bit an also help raise money for the hospital. All in all, it was a successful event. Thank you to all of you that shared your cars, without you all there would not be a show. Thank you! Paul
i like the idea of grouping the cars by era. and a separate area for race cars or supercars. TX246- what's the story of your wonderful Dino? Did you restore it?
Hello, This is the easiest way to sum it up: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/206-246/446170-shawns-change-heart-dino.html Shawn
Thank you Big Tex. You seem to be pleasantly active on Fchat. Next event would be great to say hello Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Always glad to put a face with a name! That was my yellow Ducati 996 beside the black TR, in front of PF Chang. I hope to roll the yellow 308GTB Art Car again soon, it's been several years since I was "inside the ropes". Last year I was across the street with my red 308GTB #20405. The roof of the Hardware store is a good place to watch!
