Very well done indeed. Would love to see one where Manzoni talks about the design, but I'm not even sure he's in Geneva..
Image Unavailable, Please Login Of course, and I liked how the ducts looked like on 458 Italia or Speciale. I have been concerned about the look and finish of the duct on F8 but thankfully in videos it seems to look better.
Slap some turbos on the 458. Turbo horse power is cheap. Did they even redesign the turbo or is it the same in F8 and 488? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
AM about to overtake F, or anyone else. LoL? Should rather be concerned with their own designers, looking on DB11!
Yes, It's Blu Corsa (Ferrari listed all the colors of the press cars in their latest article on TOFM) https://magazine.ferrari.com/en/cars/2019/03/05/news/ferrari-f8-tributo-geneva-motorshow-unveil-55027/
Thank you you liked it. My idea was clean, retouch still a bit rough - I just wanted to see how it would look like without the "ducts".
So this car retains the 488 chassis/suspension geometry while the all-new mid-engine car gets the brand new chassis and debuts this summer with a hybrid powertrain and more of a track focus.
would appear so, just came across this R&T article which seems to corroborate a lot of the info circulating here https://www.roadandtrack.com/car-shows/geneva-auto-show/a26658400/2020-ferrari-f8-tributo-geneva-motor-show-tech-details/
I will say that I'm a huge Ferrari fan but I personally don't find Ferrari launch specs that appealing. Customer specs made me absolutely love the 812 compared to how it looked when it launched. I can't wait to see what customers of the F8 come up with.
Perhaps the most interesting detail from this story regarding the longevity of the 458 platform > According to Ferrari technical officer Michael Leiters, we should expect to see a normal lifecycle for the F8 Tributo, which in Ferrari world, means about four years. The normal 710HP V8 Ferrari lives on for a while longer while they dabble in V-6 engines and electric assist.
According to road and track F8 makes less downforce then Pista. Its aero is inspired by that of the Pista's, with an S-Duct in the front hood to add downforce and a new carbon-fiber spoiler. Aerodynamic efficiency—which Leiters helpfully explained is a measure of downforce vs drag—is up 15 percent compared to the 488 GTB, though the F8 makes less downforce than a Pista.
Likes: Front, rear Dislikes: Side view, interior same old bland decade, wheels are terrible Unknown: Sound bad like 488?
It is difficult to really know how it sounds based on this video, but to me I can't tell any difference to a 488.
I wonder how F8 will look with grigio coburn, which was the launch color for the 812. Gotta be so awesome.
