why do Fcar wheel caps not index like Pcar caps do (bottom of crest always lines up with tire valve)?
I bought a 488 and like it a lot, the 458 was only a passing consideration when I was trading in my 2017 Cali T HS last year. I don't care for the 458, it's a dated car and I think the 488 is better looking and a lot faster at the track and on the street. I do time my cars and the 488 is very fast compared to my 991tts just not as fast out of the hole. It makes up for it pretty quickly though and it's a lot faster around COTA. To me, the 150hp is a big deal and the 100hp of the 488 over the 458 mattered a lot to me. There are plenty of us that like turbo better than NA. I don't like the wheels either.
458 is “faster” than an F40...so F8 is faster still. F40 has no nannies, no abs and huge turbo lag. Thus, it is much harder to master. And the price keeps rising. Ciao. Ciao Bella.
All black is the optional cf en Image Unavailable, Please Login Basic. No optional cf like in rosso press release car.
I am pretty sure you can get different wheels from SF. The 458 has the diamond cut wheel option which is my favorite Fcar wheel. Or the aftermarket will give you lots of choices. Wheels are the easiest things to change so not a big deal IMVHO. Looks of the car in general: beauty is in the eye of the beholder. There is no right or wrong. Ciao Bella.
They wouldn't be a deal killer for me but the upgraded wheel offering is hopefully better looking. They put the Portofino out with the standard wheels and I think they did the same with the 488. So I am assuming the upgraded wheels will be more acceptable to me.
Agreed. In my opinion the five spokes wheels from the 812 or Lusso would look great on the F8. That or the track-spec ADV05 SL, but I do understand that aftermaket rims are not for everyone. As always, it's a matter of personal tastes, there's no right or wrong as you already pointed out.
That new Pininfarina is so much better looking than any current Ferrari, especially the monstrosity of a rear end of the F8.
I was quoting the poster that said his CS was faster than an F40 which I don't believe (at least in a straight line)
Bottom line- the F8 at its worst is still sufficiently aesthetically appealing that Ferrari fans will still want to purchase it.
That exhaust sounded pretty good. Will have to hear it in person. I'm leaning towards ordering it if it does sound like that.
It looks all very good so far. It's exactly how a 488 replacement should be. Way better effort than the Huracan Evo and some others.
458 had airintakes in fenders as well, increasing downforce on front axle. Similar function for GT3 RS , Porsche say.
