I just received a survey from Ferrari regarding the F8 . It was lengthy and very specific . My only complaint was the exhaust note sound which I find dismal after the nice cold start sound .I hammered them pretty hard in that department. Anyone else get this survey ?
That's hilarious. I also just got the survey this morning, and lo and behold my only 'area for improvement' was the exhaust/sound. Go figure.
I didn’t hold back in my comments I can assure you. At the end where it asked for three items you would change or fix ( improvement area ) I put fix the exhaust in all three. I also checked unsatisfactory in the engine sound department. I think one of my comments was “what sound “?
You & I said the same things! Told them the only disappointment was the sound degradation from my previous Ferraris. Unfortunately, there is really nothing they or anyone else can do about it. The European sound regulations + turbos dictate the exhaust note. With electrification on the horizon, it will only get worse, til there is no sound at all. Heard any Teslas or Porsche Taycans lately?
Yes got the same survey and my biggest complaint was not offering a non EU emissions car for the US without the GPF filters. Hopefully FNA will approve an aftermarket system with GPF removal without voiding the warranty, have been told it’s coming for a while now…
I was wondering what the status of aftermarket exhaust approval was. I, too, had been hearing that it was coming but then chatter on the topic seemed to have died down?
New coach built F8 from Carrozzeria Touring. Love it! https://www.touringsuperleggera.eu/en/models/arese-rh95/
Here’s the dedicated thread: Touring Arese RH95 (Ferrari based) https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/index.php?threads/Touring-Arese-RH95-%28Ferrari-based%29.642136/ From the official website, « nominal output » is 670hp - 488 GTB engine. From the press release, power is « up to 720hp » - 488 Pista or F8 engine.
Yes it has been quiet, will follow up again with my dealership later this month. They have led me to believe approval for Novitec was coming. However I got tired of waiting and ordered the full Kline system in inconel with 200 cell cats.
Touring proposes the customers to have their Aero 3 based on an F12 or a 812 - probably Touring proposes the same option for the Arese, to be ordered on a 488 or a F8 (actually they are almost the same car, the F8 is a 488M).
AMG GT R, GT S, G63, Urus - all sound pretty good. Maybe a bit synthetic but certainly aggressive vs. a vacuum cleaner. To me the Pista sounds pretty good but could certainly be more aggressive. The F8 is a bit too quiet for me though.
I’ve just checked, the Arese steering wheel and the upper dash between the windshield and the steering wheel is from a 488: Image Unavailable, Please Login These details on the F8 are like this: Image Unavailable, Please Login But again, that doesn’t prevent the car to be ordered based on a 488 or F8.
