As much as I love the 458 that last picture with the F8 really shows everything that I love about the lines on a F8 comparatively. It is just sleeker and sexier to my eyes.
Hi, have you guys noticed any ‘low-points’ / very light dents on the hood of your cars where you need to apply pressure to click the latch? I found the lock on the F8 far more sturdy than on 911’s. It seems Tesla’s have a similar issue. Thanks
488's had 2 bonnet creases and you push down on them as its stronger on the bend. With the F8 being a straight panel ?
My sales agent informed me that this happened to their F8 demo with light indentation below the S-duct that they had to fix twice. His advice is to gently press down on either side of the S-duct to latch and NOT directly below the S-duct due to some slight weakness of the hood created by the S-duct. I don’t know if same issues on a Pista.
Dropped the car at the dealer a few days ago — they were not surprised. Seems like the F8 is not the only model concerned — the Speciale had a similar issue but also latest models like the Roma ie the rear trunk is supposedly prone to dents if not closed with extra care.
i am torn. any chances the F171 will outperform the F8 in all metrics? from what i see i like the proportions better than the F8. i expect it to be priced similarly. local dealer still has allocations and i am still thrilled with my R8. i am in no rush to replace it and i do not think that waiting 6 more months to get this car would be a problem for me vs ordering an F8 now and getting it in a year.
You could consider placing an order for the F8 and then swapping it out for LB once it gets announced in the next few months if it looks like it might be a better option. At least you will then be in line for the F8 with an option to cancel it before it goes into production.
