Hey everyone, For those of you with loud speakers crank them up. This is by far, one of the best gasoline ads ever which involves generations of Ferrari F1s. I really like the sound of the classic F1 car in new york. This video is a must see!!! http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=c3c_1224311514 Collinite845
Im glad it was reposted becuse i have never seen it before! Ive watched it 4 times in the last hour. I cant stop. Anyone know where I can download it?
You know, there are times when we get 'down' on Ferrari, and the prices, and the parts, and the maintenance, and this-and-that.... But a video like that rekindles the passion. GOD-DANG!! SWEET-BABY-J'MAN.... I love it.
WOW, insane. Did you see where it got some air. Damn, do you guys know if they actually shutdown streets in those locations or if it was CG?
Here you go: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XbLSB3VhpC8 According to the above, it was shot "with professional drivers on closed roads"...... Enjoy! And while we're on the subject of cool videos - Check out this Renault playing "God Save the Queen"..... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MGEqlNU30Tg Cheers, Ian
Thanks for posting that, i had never seen it before. I wish it was longer Its probably the best ad i have ever seen.
So, I couldn't stop hitting "view related videos", and turned this one up: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gSHToyGIxWE As someone said, it's amazing these things last for a few minutes, let alone an entire race (or two....) And we *still* get headers that crack on our cars.......
I've been watching this on youtube.com, since it was posted that it existed, here on Fchat, maybe over a year ago. With F1, done for this 2008 year, and I don't know if Speed.com, will be repeating showing them, this will have to satisfy my FERRARI needs, until the 2009 F1 season. Youtube.com, has a lot of neat racing and car videos, to see. FORZA FERRARI!!! Ciao...Paolo
+1 Although, thinking about it, "2 days" is probably about as long as they do last....... [Anyone know how often they change these things?] The "alternative edit" mentioned above is kind of cool, but what happened to the quality?! As something of a "video nerd" the really impressive thing about the original is how small it is - I can't remember where I snagged it from, but it's only about 20MB and runs at about 1.2Mbit/s - That low of a data rate generally produces output more in line with the "alternative edit" version - Amazin! [I've been reliably informed, by the guys that know on the Apple video boards, it's all about the quality of the source footage (35mm film?) - No compression artifacts in here!] Sorry for the hijack, but I just *love* that vid! Cheers, Ian
And, it's about to fall off the page again...... Given that it turns up as a repost about twice a year (?) maybe the mods could add a "sticky" - Not to all the above nausea, but just to the link - I'm surprised how many (even some long term users) hadn't seen it...... The "real" version is available (in 3 different sizes) from: http://www.shell.com/home/content/ferrari-en/downloads/video_clips/dir_video_clips.html "Circuit TV ad" is the one - "Making of" is also there [Along with a few other very cool vid's - Warning! - Don't go there unless you have some time to kill!] Just a thought, Cheers, Ian PS - Has this ever run on TV anywhere? If not, I wanna know why not!
Now that we are on the subject of Ferrari/Shell commercials.. Does anyone remember the old one, with the italian boy and the attendant working on the other side of the fence with some shell pumps. Looks like it's factory area. The man yells: Ciao Roberto, and the then the boy: Ciao Roma-no - And then suddenly all hell breaks loose with 355s and F50s if I remember correctly.. I would really like that commercials.. just to see it again.. its been so many years
Even though it was only a print ad, one of my favorites was the 250 LM at the Shell gas station during the 1960s. Their ads have a lot of class. Plus the 250 LM is my favorite Ferrari. Taz Terry Phillips
Where did you see the 3 sizes, I only see "Streaming" and I can't even get that to work, I would love an HD version.
