Forgot to mention in the first post but what am I looking at at 1:33 in the 1st video? Some sort of a valve? Also the cellphone on the back looks better in the video than pics.
I think the entire car is beautiful. Who knows, the cell phone may not be on USA cars because of our stupid government's stupid rules. My Californias have had the mandatory stupid cup holder and stupid USA style horns. I have them changed to proper Ferrari air horns upon delivery. The flame throwing is perfect! Rick
Its also for aerodynamics. With them closed I believe the car has a cd of 0.299... I believe the 599 has a 0.335 cd, but I could be off on that as Im just going from memory. The car and the video are fantastic.
The red car in the Geneva video has a rear parking camera - and you can see they found a good use for the "cellphone." That's where the lens is hidden.
Awesome video! Great drifting shots. Stills: 1) Favourite shot 2) Nice to see the brake duct in action GT Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I'm very much looking forward to see one in the metal but, as someone also mentioned here on fchat, the launch photos are very much photoshopped with massive wheels, tight wheel to fender gaps, etc. This p*sses me off big time! The real car looks heavier and "flabbier", relatively speaking of course. It's a super car, why the 4x4 tolerances! So much so I put finger to keyboard and wrote a short piece using a certain 911 GT3 as a comparison, read it here: http://www.autoviva.com/vogue_and_the_new_ferrari_f12berlinetta/member-post/3259
Also, looks great on the show stand. The stance and proportions are all good with this car. Thank God. No more fat lips. No more "ho-hum" proportions (too tall, too skinny). No more butt hanging down. Thank you, thank you Ferrari and PF. -F
