I love the new color - (introduced at Monaco in 2007); what is the official name for it? Thanks. Kevin
lol. I knew that!!! It's a beautiful darker metallic red than it was from 1997 to 2007....which was brighter (due to Marlboro'$ influence)... Kevin

Brian I believe rosso scuderia is the more "orangish" red and yes, I think it was the previous F1 red.
I think it's darker due TV high definition. With TV high definition all colors must be darker to be good @ screen. It's the same with make-up for the TV stars.
Have they changed the colour again for this year? I don't know if it's just me but it looks different to last two years? :S I do still love it though.
Back inthe old days, every car in F1 wore it's "National" color. All Italian cars wore Red. Brits Green, French Blue, Japan White, German Silver and so on. Ferrari lightened their traditional color to match their major sponor to "Marlboro Red" for a few years and have since returned to a darker shade. Scott
The 1st pic is the F2007, which initally started off as a brighter red. Then IIRC, it was Monaco 2007 when the team changed the colour to a darker red. Here's a direct comparison of the F2007
Rosso Scuderia is the red that really pops in the sun. You really notice this when you see one parked next to a Rosso Corsa car This is Rosso Scuderia (Pic and car by Jeff ) Image Unavailable, Please Login
So, now i'm only clear about Rosso Rubino and Argento Nurburgring and Nero. Whats Rosso Corsa like? I really wish someone can post a pic of names of the colours beside the colours. Like a brochure thing...
Actually when colors were first assigned to the cars of a particular country, circa 1904, English cars were red!
