    Hi all
Has anyone had issues with GENUINE Ferrari clothing? I have had a red jacket for two years and I have had the lining re-stitched 4 times, the first time AFTER JUST SIX MONTHS
I only use the jacket 4 or five times a year, and the first time it was washed the zip fell off!
I know it’s out of warrantee but under the shoddy goods act 1974 this jacket has clearly breached that law. Does anyone one know the correct complaints procedure!?

    Thanks in advance

I placed an order once and only once from the Ferrari Store. A leather bomber jacket that ended up being too small for me. Tried many times to reach some one at their customer service email address which is posted on their webpage. Never, ever got a response or even an aknowledgement that they received my complaint or made any attempt to contact me. I ended up giving the jacket to one of my young sons who will hopefully grow into it one day. Others on this board have had similar experiences. I think your wasting your time .....But Good Luck!

Maybe if you bought it at a store AND had the receipt you could stand a small chance.

    But then again...it IS a Ferrari!!! :)

    Here's the deal.......

What is offered at most retail is REPLICA teamwear, even at the Ferrari Store if I am not mistaken..

The ACTUAL Team equipment is issued to each member personally and IS NOT supposed to be flipped to the market at all.....but at the end of the year the design changes if not the vendor so it turns up at places like:

Collector Studio in Canada (Hi, Morry!)

JMJ Automobilia in Jupiter Florida (Talk to Marie)

But it will be three or maybe four times what you paid for the retail replicas.
Winter coats with removable vest are about $1,200 to $1,500USD

The other thing is that most of the vendors differ radically in sizing, the Tommy Hilfiger stuff is cut pretty generously as that was his "style"...as opposed to the Cerruti years when everything was cut for the shorter European clothing dimensions.
None of those jackets EVER had enough sleeve length, for me. (6' 3", 44L)

The FILA and Puma stuff I think mimics their experience with professional sports wear, but tends to still run "small" against American designations of the same size.

As for washing, NO machine washing EVER! Dry cleaning would probably be the best, but I usually stomp my coats and shirts like grapes in the bathtub with Woolite and hang dry....you can see the red dye leaving with the water........but avoid drying them in the machine or the fabric will shrink wrinkling the sponsor patches..

I wonder if Mrs. Schumacher knows all this......LOL!

*Let's Make a Deal announcer voice*

"The lovely Miss Zophie is modeling the last year of the old Blood Red TH Teamwear, before they went to "TV Orange", a brighter orange/red that the television cameras pick up better."

Note also the "full tobacco" logos, now outlawed by the Federal Tobacco Settlement.

I just got the inventory email from JMJ a few minutes ago......shoot me a private message, I'll be glad to share it with you.

All the stuff Collector Studio has in inventory is posted to his website.

At the end of the day, the vast majority of clothing sold in the Ferrari shops is just Chinese-made 'promotional' gear same as every other bit of 'promotional' gear you've ever bought or been given; just you pay a lot of money to get that logo on it... I don't think anywhere in the shops or merchandise do they claim anything about 'quality'.

I am one of the "others" on the board that have had that experience - with a leather jacket, same as yours. I received very sporadic communication from customer service - mostly ignored my emails - I even had my emails translated into Italian to see if that would prompt a better response. In the end, I returned the jacket, AMEX handled the charge dispute for me and I ended up purchasing the proper size from the store (non-internet). I have not had much occassion to wear it, but the quality seems excellent and I have no problems so far.

Zophie, is that a Hot Wheels Ferrari Speed Machine (upside down) in your inside jacket pocket or you just happy to be out among such great cars?

I think my stretchy material red Ferrari short sleeve shirt is the real thing, I traded
some artwork for it, it was supposed to be $60. I like the prancing horse shield stitched into it but hate the ugly black lettering all over the back plugging some race driver. Tha type of grainy black lettering I would expect on a $5 tee-shirt, not a $60 shirt. Also annoying are the black stripes about half an inch wide here and there which I think are put in ,or baked on, in order to be able to recognize it's "real" compared to the knock offs who don't have that technology to bake on a rubberized stripe. That's like saying, "we're gonna take that Gucci bag and attach a big rubber stripe here and there so everyone will know it's real."

So I am only about 75% happy with the shirt. By the way it came with plenty of tags and labels that say it's authorized but I suppose the knock off guys can make those tags too.

Why should we Ferrari fans have to have the purity of our clothes screwed up just so Ferrari can tell the real ones from the fake ones? That's their problem, not us at the consumer end's.

First off..why are you buying Ferrari clothes?? Second, do you really think Ferrari cares about the quality?? Just look at the cars..really?..the clothes are going to be anything different? God... sometimes you guys blow my mind!!

Ferrari wants to manke MONEY!! Thats it. The highestr bidder for their "sponsored" Junk will get the deal, thats it, botom line, and you are foolish enough to buy it, and complain about it..geez..

Sorry dude about being harsh, but look at it in reality..

I have several Ferrari shirts and a couple jackets, I've worn them for a few years now and think the quality is just fine, comfortable too.

I have the same jacket with some different sponsor logos. I use it for my ski parka. It is great. got the parkas (one for me and one for my wife) at at one of the Ferrari Challenge rallys.

Some fcar stuff is great, some is crap. Had some shirts that were ruined with the first wash.

PS. I admit I do not look anywhere as good as your picture. Please focus on the jacket.

Post an image and I'll let you know if it's "real". Doesn't sound like anything current though

Yes, I really felt the TH years were rather a high point in both quality and styling for the Ferrari F1 Team....

Everything since then feels like you are going out to a basketball game or something...generic Team Wear. Baller stuff.......(like Puma's shoes, Drift Cats excepted)

Schumi's TH winter gear has a cell phone pocket, just for your phone!
Really well thought out details...note that TH logo ribbon and lining, behind Zophie...... if you can.

FILA and Puma never got that level of detailing IMO...

That jacket was fresh out of the wrapper, for Zophie.....NOS.
