AS I said before, Steve will go into the Ferrari Hall of Fame when he hits 100k, which at his rate will not be far away. No body drives like this man, not in a Ferrari anyway! Nice pic. Mike, did you show them what the ranch car looks like???
Okay, I am confused.........easily apparently!!! Ahhh. Got it....I think.... You know, I did drive a Porsche I had bought from Virginia to Wisconsin. Best trip I have EVER had!! Alright, I see your point!! ;-)
100K miles? What's the big deal. I put 122K on one 308 GTS and 128K on another before selling them. Then, 75K on my 512TR before selling it. Ferraris really can be pretty reliable cars if you maintain. Heck, I've been using a 1959 CA Spyder as a daily driver this past month. It hasn't left me stranded yet. Steve
I hear ya Josh. It's just that it is $20 this year. Maybe $40 in two years. Maybe $60. It's more of the point of it. I will probably blow $20 that day on food at the concession stand 2 times over. It is just the point of it all. Have you ever seen Ferrari do ANYTHING for their customers that could be considered "free"?? I mean, whenever I would go to the Chicago Auto Show, I would go with my aunt and uncle. They were in the Mercedes Club. Their dealership would hook them up with a bus-ride down with food and drink on the Greyhound bus. Then, free admission. Then there was a private Mercedes area/room with tables and chairs with fruit, drinks, desserts, etc. At the Ferrari booth, I could show my card and get behind the "ropes" to get close to the cars. Said thing is, is that it probably would only take a $10 "gift" now and then to keep me happy.... Maybe if II had a car that was worth more than a new Accord, it might make a difference?? ;-)
Here is Maria's reply: "Admission to the event is $ 20 per day and you can pay as you drive in. If you come with a Ferrari you'll be invited to park in the Ferrari Corral in the paddock. " At least you get to park in the paddock with your Ferrari. -steve
Steve your the man a true RAMPAGER!!!! looking forward to seeing you and Alison at the "Rampage" Ranch this weekend! Drive Safe!!!
Hey all, turns out we have a room at the ranch available due to a family emergency. If anyone is interested in private bedroom for the weekend, close to the track, pool and super fly housemates, shoot me a pm.
Its actually $20 per person per day or $40 for the whole weekend. Also as far as I know, parking is free and so are admission for children under 12yrs of age. Anyway, its only four nights away to Race#1. Boys, please don't forget to bring home some pictures when its all said and done!
Hey Steve, When are you going? Looks like rain possible on Sat. Am planning to come with Quint on Sat if there is no rain, Sunday is our alternate. Let's hook up! Jon
we all got free food and free parting gifts at Ferrari of SV's Ferrari 60th anniv party! You missed out!! It's not a big deal Bill. There are much bigger things in life to dwell on...
I have the same plan! Are you and Jon bringing separate Fcars, or are you going together? I want to bring my 2+2, but my starter is sitting on the counter down here (Sunnyvale) ready to be installed. I'm getting to be a pro at removing/installing starters on this car, so hopefully it won't take me very long to put it all back together! I'll keep you posted. -steve
Steve - JQ is coming in my car. Will bring the GTS is weather is good enough.... A couple of other (non-f) friends will also be there from the Peninsula. Hope that you prevail with the starter. Coming Sunday will provide more time to install it. I look forward to seeing the car! I wonder if the event will be cancelled due to weather? Somehow I just can't see people racing on a wet course..... Jon
Love that picture, I have the same....roadtrip....roadtrip!!!!! A little rain won't hurt a thing. Image Unavailable, Please Login
and chance of rain on Saturday...rats....have to put the Mondial's top up....shake out the spiders....but need to cart in 8 people... I assume all will pay $20 per day unless weekend [already said] or the weekend ticket....not matter, it isn't the $100/car/entry....would have been as expensive as Pebble B.
Save some room, you still need to bring some food and drink to the Ranch on Friday!! ooh and if the track rains out we can continue the party at the Ranch!!
Hey Vincent, long time bro, whats up? You coming up for a glass of bubbly on Friday? Hope to see ya, John
