Fellow Ferrari owners living in Germany or traveled here, what do you use as fuel? I named the two brands but I'm open to other suggestions.

For me the price doesn't matter much, I'm more after quality and performance. What would be your top choice? Do you notice that really adds any noticeable difference when you had to use another brand?

Currently decided on the Aral 102 since I hear a lot of negative comments about the Shell V-power.

Nothing of hard evidence and proper benchmarks. Main negative comment was that the quality of v-power varied a lot time to time and that Aral 102 was generally a better alternative. I'm bit surprised because v power is generally advertised as developed with Ferrari. Especially in Germany it would be strange to assume they don't have proper QA. However, I'm no expert and didn't run any comparisons myself. I just take the advice of others into account.

During searching I found an article with some benchmarks. It pretty much says there is no difference of significance: https://www.th-nuernberg.de/fileadmin/abteilungen/kom/kom_docs/Sonderdrucke/29_weclas_fertig.pdf

Shell V-Power is not what it used to be or something. Here in Sweden it had changed to the lower RON value and more mixed with ethanol... Sweden is not the best country to live in when it comes to premium fuel...

There was a test in my country last year where high octane fuels were tested against 95 RON. The V Power landed in the middle. It did do a bit better than 95 but not by much. Without testing, it is impossible to know and I cannot find data on the Arai. Fact is that your engine is tuned for max power from 86 MON and most fuels in our region have a MON of 87 or better - even cheap 95.
Run what ever you like, it will make good power. Running a 488, Lusso, FF, GT4 and GT3RS on both road and track in Europe, I can't tell a difference. I like to fill up on high octane for hot track days just as a precaution, but other than that, nah. An interesting addition is that in normal street driving, I have noticed less soot on the tailpipes when running stuff like Shell 95 or Q8 95 Extra vs. the 100+ RON stuff. That tells me something very important. The 95 has a cleaner and more complete burn. You don't want too much carbon buildup in the engine. Money might not be an issue, but run the car on what it likes best and is tuned for. It's not a race car, it's a GT.
