    I'm respraying my 348 later this year and am considering changing the shade of black.

    At the moment it's Nero Metalica. What other shades of Ferrari black are there?

    Is Daytona black a flat black?

    "Nero Daytona" is metallic black. I believe it is the same color as "Nero Metalica" (sometimes "Nero Daytona" is stated as "Nero Daytona Metalica"). I think it is PPG paint code 95130.

    "Nero" is a plain, shiny black color. (PPG paint code 95150).

    Mate there is only one black yopu should go for - Flat black or jet black as they call it too. There is no way yoou can compare the 2 blacks. Yes Nero will hide the dirt and marks but i know you love your car like i do too and Flat black on a clean and polished car stands out miles. While you at it i think you should paint your calipers to red too.

    I have a metallic black 308.

    Years ago I was repainting my black VW Scirocco. I decided to paint it "Ferrari" black. My paint guy called me after looking it up and told me that Ferrari's (non-metallic) black was just black, period. Nothing was mixed in with it. The VW version had a little red and white mixed in.

    So Ferrari's black is about as black as you can get I guess.

    I've decided to stick with mettalic black. :D


    Got some red AP Racing calipers on order. Should have them on the car next month.

    By the way, the London ferrari meet will be in May. Details to be posted up later.
