So I'm 5'10" and 280 and usually wear 2XL. Figured the sizes on the Ferrari website for clothing would be a little small so I ordered 3XL. It fit me like a Medium LOL which is like didn't fit at all. I don't think the Ferrari store goes bigger than 3XL so where does a big guy get Ferrari clothes?

Good luck. All the Italians must be really small :)

I go between 225-240, 6', wear XL in America and nothing from the Ferrari store ever fits. Waste of money :)

    Dave,

You would think since America is their biggest market they would make clothes that fit us!

The Italians are not very large, but I think it's a bit of an odd thing to say that Italians must be really small because they are not of that size. Generally speaking, very few here in Europe can muster a girth of 178 cm and 127 kg - that's simply not a norm, anywhere. Most men here in Europe of that height are between 70 and 80 kg.

Can't really fault Ferrari for not making clothes there would be next to no market for.

    I'm 5'11- 250... tying to lose it.. but ...... :)

The Puma gear thats issued by Corse Clienti is sized smallish, they will provide 3XL which does fit like a typical US 2XL. I have a couple shirts that are sized 3XL that are hilariously "tightly cut" shall we say. I have a 2XL jacket from a couple years back that hangs off me, and a 3XL from a more recent year that is pretty snug.

Some of the Puma branded "pseudo-F1 team gear" fits similarly.

However, the Ferrari store "apparel" must work off a completely different sizing chart, almost as if it's different by "product line"....

As a true story, my wife and I did the Cavalcade USA last year. One of the "gifts" were 2 very nice Ferrari-branded windbreaker/jackets and shirts. At registration, we picked them up and tried them on....we literally thought they had accidentally provided children's sizes. (I'm a burly former rugby player/wrestler, a fire hydrant guy and typically 2XL, my wife is definitely within "normal limits").

What was purely comical was the 20+ other USA-sized people there who had similar issues. Luckily, the jackets fit our 13 and 14 year old daughters with room to spare.

In my case, I really only wear Ferrari "gear" when I'm at the race track, never when driving on the street!

Likewise none of their stuff fits me all that well, and I'm not really a huge guy.

I think our only choice is to buy a car cover and have it tailored to fit. :D

I will offer that my Monogram Shop takes care of Ferrari of Houston Challenge Teams.

So they have a lot of logo work "in the computer"......
That might be a way forward?

Not when it comes to clothing and accessories. The US may be the single largest importer of Ferrari cars of any country, but that's not the same as it's the place that buys the most merchandise. The buyers of that stuff is first and foremost the F1 and race team fan base here in Europe, the UK and Middle East. Besides that, just because a Ferrari owner is American, does not mean they are all heavily overweight. Therefore I don't think the majority of US Ferrari owners are obese or extremely obese. Not saying any of this to offend anyone, but that seems unrealistic taking into account that about 37% of all US citizens are obese (BMI 30+), and "only" 6% or of those are extremely obese i.e (BMI 40+). As I said, a BMI of 40+ or 30+ is simply not the norm - not even in the US.

Well, it's true - I need to lose weight. Me on the right. But obese? Hmm no. PS - that is a bootleg shirt I am wearing. But, plenty of guys in the US my size - the difference is they replace the fat with muscle :) so, what are they to do?

When Mitsubishi brought the EVO to the US, they had to make a few changes:
They replaced the windows with Fed approved (but heavier) glass,
They added more pollution controls (which shrunk the gas tank),
    and
They installed larger seats for the "big" Americans. ;)
    (Yes, really.)

I think Ferrari is missing a bet.
If F1 fans are most of the buyers for apparel, then they shouldn't limit sizes to those who can actually fit in a Ferrari. :p

(Do Europeans have the same problem with 328 seat bolts shearing off? ;))

Exactly plenty of guys who are 6 foot plus with a lot of muscle mass that wouldn't fit into Ferrari's clothes.

There are also plenty of F1 fans here too.

Yes, Obese - according to your own numbers, you're obese. Your BMI is between 30,5 and 32,5 depending on whether you're 225 lbs or 240 lbs. Obesity starts at 30 BMI and extremely obese starts at 40 BMI. Overweight starts at 25 BMI and ends at 29,9.

Just spend some time searching on the internet....I've found places.....which I have to do since I'm fat, muscular, and wide shouldered.....WAY over my playing weight. Can't pick up women no matter what car I drive.....but everyone wants to be my friend when a bar fight breaks out....LOL

Best advice is to only buy from places that have sizing charts.....don't just order a 3XL or whatever without one.

BMI does not account for people that have extra muscle mass from lifting. So it is not the end all of determining whether or not you are obese.

Yup, when ordering clothes from the US, you need to order 2 sizes higher than your US size. I wear a M here and have to order XL.

I found the Tods shoe sizes to match with the US size, but the Puma sneakers definitely run small. The first pair I ordered I had to give to my wife. I wear a size 8 and I had to get a 9 to fit me.

Just some advice for the OP....DON'T just use a rule of thumb like this, use a sizing chart. Before I got smart about this, I would sometimes get shirts that were off by more than FOUR sizes....had to give shirts away a couple times when the morons wouldn't take them back.

Shoes always seemed to work out OK for me because the conversions between EUR and USA sizes are pretty consistent.

Trust me I'm not ordering anything else (clothing) from Ferrari. I think their biggest size is 3XL and it fits me like a medium so I'm moving on.
