AD211, what drop is that?
It is very probably not wrong at all, 6mm is just quite a bit. One never knows how they come from the factory. A lot of the 458 and 488's are actually close to 40.5/59.5 and 41/59 from what I've seen. My 488 Spider was a bit more well set coming off the line though. I only needed 2mm in the drivers rear and 3mm in the passenger rear to get it 42/58 and levelled side to side. If yours is one of the cars that was more butt heavy than mine was off the line, then 5-6 mm is definitely not off by any means. You're more than likely between 42-42.5 and vice versa rear with that lowering. That is pretty spot on indeed. The thing with all of this is just that I have seen so many ruin a great car by not lowering the correct way. One thing is the height and the stance, but one needs to take balance into account.
Good deal. It will settle a bit more. My wife's Maserati settled quite a bit over the first month of use.
Seeing it's a 488 and thus have some mileage on it, I think it is safe to say that it is fully settled. He lowered it on stock springs not Novi springs. The 458, 488 and Pista settles fully after about 2000 km in my experience.

Try the 25mm front and 30mm rear. Anything more and it will look squashed. Add the tyres as suggested to get rid of the last gap. Then it's time for an alignment as the lowering will throw it all out of wack. Here's a suggestion that is somewhat conservative, but still better handling that OE. you don't need more as you're not tracking. Front: Toe -8 minutes per side. Camber -1 degree and 15 minutes per side Rear: Toe +9 minutes per side Camber 1 degree and 30 minutes These camber numbers are very conservative compared to stock, but will make the car a bit more settled and better in turns. Here are the factory numbers by comparison. As you can see, it's not a huge aggressive change. 488 Factory alinment numbers. Front: Toe -5 minutes per side Camber -48 minutes Rear: Toe +10 minutes Camber 1 degree and 20 minutes I will suggest that when the front camber is adjusted, you start by moving the shims from the upper arms to the lower arms. Then use camber shims to get it to the desired camber and equal side to side. These camber suggestions have nothing to do with how the car looks, but everything with how it drives.
What’s up Will! You’re killing it on the car consumption lately. Every time you come up on my YouTube feed there’s another new one! Yes, that offset and lowering on stock springs was perfect. I never should have sold her. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Thanks my man! I'm thinking of going with a 488 as it looks better the the F8 in my opinion and can be tuned to perform just as well for wayyyy less money...
Yup, do it… and then continue to do it with that mindset over and over and eventually you’ll finally end up in that 1981 Datsun with the Chevy smallblock in it with twice pipes that you’ve always dreamed about. Super cheap to mod and looks way better…. Ahem. Seems like just as good as a decision as anything else that people have chosen to do over the past few years. Buying new springs is a waste of money when you can just heat up the stock springs with a torch or cut a coil off.
