Hello fellow Chatters, personal car from personal collection. My wife loves all my cars and followed me thru my racing career and is a car wife! No other cracks on dash. Making our 9th straight trip to Pebble in 3 weeks got my eye on a new car trying to make room in my storage garage. Price is open to honest Ferrari Chat members offers only listed here. Market on this car is climbing as we all know 5 speed 12 cylinder how can you go wrong. Send me an email and I can forward a write up on car for any interested parties. Plus has BAR code can be registered in California that along is priceless!
Yet another FCHAT car for sale post without a price listed. This is becoming quite the trend and I wish I understood the rationale. Neat car!
Trend? Not really last recorded sale of a 3 pedal 412i was in June 2018 for 215K in Europe. Well we here as F Chatters know the car is not worth that but then it is not a 75K car neither. I am a collector not a salesmen hard to put a price on the car since there is no real basis to go by. When I spoke to Bonam’s to take to Pebble Beach for auction they were even confused and they are so called “ Experts”. The range they claim the car is worth 120K to 160K that’s a big range. So that’s why I did not put price I figure F Chatters can set the price knowing there is more knowledge here than anywhere else. Thank you.
Here is a write up on my Ferrari 412i for interested parties. I have received several emails asking for a price with my return response as to interest in my Ferrari before I disclose price with a simple " Lets Talk ". No one has responded back to me. Perhaps this is why F Chatters are moving to not posting prices since all they want is price but no other information or engage in a conversation or negotiation. I am open to discussions to any serious buyers.
I think that is actually in the smaller instrument pod....the dash looks nice to me. That's a cool car! GLWS!!
Gotta start somewhere.......as you point out, V12 5 speed MT and this level of opulence, it's a time capsule. Odd to believe the overlap with TR production. Talk about two different markets!!
Agreed. The problem is lack of market presence to gauge pricing. This car seems to be all over the place. As I stated earlier in my post I met with Bonham's and they were even confused on where 412i 5 speeds would come in and go too. They were almost going to use my car as a test to set some sort of value for 412i 3 pedals. I was going to give them the car for Pebble Beach at the Quail Auction but their confusion and VIG gave me cold feet at the end. Thanks again.
Oh wow, what a car! They only ever made 270 of the manuals, and who knows how many are left?! Let me check my garage... nope, filled up with two Ferraris already. Good Luck With Sale!
Odd about Bonhams, but they obviously missed several points: The well fettled condition, current service and mileage The unheard of these days BAR compliance. *%&^ 'em, sales people!!! "How much is in it, for me" Lastly, why was their "prediction" so important, to them? I know it would be comforting, to you Once bidding starts, the hammer sets the market! I have sat in auctions that seemed to run out of air, and money, and the Catalog predictions were crap, past that point! Your car would have been a slow start, great finish, and end up back in Europe, most likely. No matter we have the top of the Section, now!
Thank You! Best of Luck with the sale! I seem to remember a few guys talking about them at C+C... I'll mention this one..
Thanks to all the great comments and interest and emails. Drove it last night to Beverly Hills for coffee and it still draws a crowd. Beautiful classic. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
