If you haven’t locked in then you could change the spec still, but I would not cancel the order - being sold out it will almost certainly sell for way over MSRP. They obviously want those cars to resell. As long as your dealer gets you some of that net profit it’s a win.

I won’t see any of that anyways. They made me sign some papers for the gtb that I wouldn’t sell for 12 months and they have first right of refusal at Msrp. Moreover, at my age, 3 years is eternity. When I put the $10k down on gts late last year I was told q4 2022 for the gtb since I did a super heavy spec I didn’t want ie af,stripe, custom color $32k and 6 months after that would be gts. Now it’s q3 2023 for gtb if it’s on time and then 2025 for the gts. Not what I was told at all. Like I said I’m not concerned paying over for an early gts bc I should have a gtb to trade but dealer is saying I won’t get gtb if I do and they’d lose an allocation? Seems dumb, if there’s so much demand why can’t someone else take the gts allocation?

With all the claimed demand surpassing offer a dealer should not give a *** about anyone cancelling an order - otherwise there is something wrong somewhere. And a serious talk with the dealer is needed.

I think they (the dealer) would be concerned about losing a high spec sale and having a lower value sale for the slot and Ferrari would notice that.

That having been said I would cancel if they are pushing you down the list and spec the GTS as you want it - but you will have to wait if your chosen dealer feels they can play games with your order - you can always go elsewhere, ie another dealer or brand.

I may want your GTS allocation if you cancel, but I know that’s not really what you were trying to figure out. I’m not a fan of having to spec cars a certain way if I don’t like it in the end. That seems unfair.

Only in my dreams. They're two different cars. Blu Corsa and TDF.

Saw a Black GTB with silver wheels in Dealership, black doesn’t do it any favours,

Even the serial black car buyer received his 296 wearing Bianco Italia! Maybe there is something to that black and the 296 question...

Well different colors do different things I think black:
1- Makes a car look smaller
2- Hides the body lines whether beautiful or ugly
    3- Make a car more imposing/menacing

    And the 296 is:
1- Relatively small in its class
2- has beautiful and interesting body lines
3- Is more beautiful and classy than menacing even though the front end is a bit aggressive, the opposite to this point would be something like a 765LT.

That’s why I don’t think black (or darker colors in general) work very well for this car even though personally most of the cars I bought were black.

I actually started to notice this issue with my 812 because while I loved the added aggression, I could barely notice and study the car’s lines which made it look awkward.

Well, I'm used to buy red but wanted black for a change o_O
Note I picked the diamond wheels with full black interior which results in a different overall view.

Still have quite some time before spec is locked so... Hmm..
