Hello Joe, just curious to know if you used the translation I provided. Good luck with the book - judging by the cover (pun intended) it looks like you have a winner. Best regards.
Indeed we used the translation you provided (thank you!), and had some additional help from others too.
I am sorry if this was already mentioned somewhere, but when and where would this book be available? Also what the cost would be?
It should be out by fall 2013. I'm not sure about the price although this link gives you an idea: The Book of the Ferrari 288 GTO: Joe Sackey: 9781845842734: Amazon.com: Books Veloce UK is the publisher but Amazon will be the best online source to order.
I thought this day will never come. I am finished! At least for my part. Final selection & captions of all images (and there are some stunners), adjustment of all illustrations, and completion of the text, is saved & backed up. And most importantly on its way to the publisher. Again! After last year's delay for licensing reasons cropped up, it gave me additional time to hone and refine the piece, and I have to say Im now even a little bit excited. I will keep everyone posted of production & publication progress, and now my wife will be happy that I am not office-bound the whole time! Have a Happy Superbowl weekend all. Thank you Andrew, and thanks for the kind words all. I will give this advice to anyone: never write a book! Of course, despite my advice, I have to write two! Anyway I thought it was important it should be done even if it isn't a profitable enterprise, there is so much valuable information that needed to be organized and shared. The cars deserve it, enthusiasts deserve it, and the people who keep, maintain, and care for these cars deserve it too.
