Ballpark on what 0665 will go for? Sealed auction so maybe only the Massini's/Kidstons of the world may know but 10million? 20?

    The long way home
IMO, likely more than $10, but surely less than $20.

Its rare, beautiful, very usable, did I mention rare?, I would think somewhere around $20mm. The Tour de France winning TDF (#0557GT) did fetch $13.2mm back in '15. This has to be worth something north of there.

I disagree. My speculation is that although the Zagato body is rare and a quite interesting design it does not hold up to 0677 GT or 1033GT for achievements. Both of these cars were TdF winners with Gendebien along with substantial other victories. 0677GT was also used by the factory (along with 0733GT) for development of the 12 intake port outside plug 128 engine.

Fair enough! #0665GT sold at Bonhams for approx. $1.7mm in '99 while late TDFs were a $500k - 1mm item. BUT we have no comparisons for any of the special TDFs as you mentioned! #0677GT also beat half the works Sports racing Ferraris to take third at the '57 Mille Miglia and in doing so launched Olivier Gendebien as a Scuderia star so is arguably the most important of the series!

Diverging a bit, the Interims are the last development of the LWB TdF series yet seem to get a lot less respect.

I would put all the Interims as part of the TdFso 1523GT would be the last built with 1521GT the last existent . Same chassis and 128 motors. Different body but then there were already an assortment of different bodies: wrap around rear glass, 14 louver, new body style 3 louver, single louver, and some Zagato bodies.

Quoted from Bonham: "The Ferrari's last outing in 1960 was at the Mille Miglia Rallye with competitor number '1'.".

AFAIK the 1960 Mille Miglia Rallye was scheduled for October but cancelled, and 1401 GT was raced in the 2° Mille Miglia rally in 1959 by Luigi Taramazzo and Giovanni Gerini on race number 1 (DNF/crash).

Never heard of the Eberback hill climb in Southern Germany either. Yes I know, it is a silly tipo and should be Eberbach, but you would expect more thoroughly checked info when trying to sell a $5M - $7M car :(

You probably mean Guerino Gerini, not Giovanni Gerini.
I understand the Eberbach hillclimb in Germany was run from 1959 until 1970.

    Hi all,
I also read the race history given in the car description and I think I can add and correct some race informations.

1.) Edgar Berney entered and raced 250 GT LWB S/N 1401 GT (ex Spinedi) at the Rheinland-Pfalz-Preis, a support race for the Grand Prix race at the Nürburgring (06.08.1961) on race Nr. 42, but suffered an engine damage in practise and did not start the race.

2.) In the early 60’s 2 Eberbach hillclimb races held during a year, a “international” race in April and a more “national” race in October. In 1963 the “International Eberbach hillclimb” took place at 21.04. and there were some Ferrari entered, like Kalman von Csazy’s Ferrari 250 GTO, but not Martin Stephani with a Ferrari. He was entered and drove S/N 1401 GT in the second Eberbach hillclimb that year at 20.10. with race nr. 150 (see scans),

    best wishes,
    BjörnS

Please list all Ferrari entries for the International Eberbach hillclimb in April 1963? I have only von Csazy listed in my database.

Did Günther Lohsträter own 1997 GT? For him I have a number of races in 1961 - 1963 with only the indication "250 GT". Next to a 250 GT Berlinetta he also drove 250 GT SWB California Spyder chassis 2167 GT.

Results from Zoute sale on 8 October 2023:
    Bonhams : The Zoute Sale

Some strange results for non-Ferrari cars where a Fiat 500 Joly (155.000 EUR) costs almost as much as a limited Aston Martin DB AR1 Zagato Roadster (158.000)... ;-)
