Found interesting information - can someone tell me - what is this car Ferrari!! The text and a link to the original attached!

Question - is this a prototype 1959 Ferrari 854 prototipo - unknown Ferrari??

The lovely ASA, with their Ferrari DNA, are the brainchild of Enzo Ferrari, Lampredi, Colombo and Bizzarrini ... Fascinating !

This ASA Ferrari 1965 was first acquired by a private client ; then, in the 70s, after the Company went bankrupt, it was bought by the De Nora family (founders of the firm ASA).

The price of 186,500 Euros, comparable to a 250 GT V12 , demonstrates that these ulra-rare Italian GTs (less than a hundred in existence) belong to the lagical Enzo Ferrari mythology.

During the ritual Pres conference 1959 Commendatore Enzo Ferrari presented the first (and only) Ferrari engine with lessa than 1 litre capacity : 854cc exactly.

Shortly after he road tested the first prototype himself. Temporary bodywork is derived from a Fiat, but tubular chassis is "made in Ferrari", designed by Giotto Bizzarrini.

Left : first prototype tested at Monza in 1960. From left to right : Lorenzo Bandini, Carlo Chiti, Forghieri (in white) and Ferrari driver and tester Richie Ghinter.

Right : the first prototype and the second one named "Mille", styled by Giugiaro ; the latter will be on the Bertone Stand at the Torino Motor Show in 1961.

This fcatory picture cearly suggest that the same blood runs into ASA and Ferrari. They share race experience and Luxury GT ambitions.

The ASA Ferrari 1000 GT in its final version. Left: 1000GT, capacity of the engine is now 1032cc. Right : model 411, with 1,1 litre engine, only 4 built..

This small GT boasts a higher power-to-capacity ratio than the contemporary 275 GTB (90 HP/litre against 85 for the GTB) and close to the LM (95 HP/l.) !

Ferrari driver Lorenzo Bandini participated in the project, and became an associate of the ASA Company. General shape is not so far from the 250 GT "Lusso" (1962), hence the knickname "Baby Lusso".

    Racing ASA : Targa Florio 1965, 66 (top pics, a 411 prototype), 24 H of Le Mans... Above, right : 411 and the 100GTC prototype. Below: RB613.

Le Mans Sebring, Daytona, Nurburgring, the racing program was very ambitious for a one-year old make. Unfortunatley with a privateers-like budget, the ASA were not raced to their full potential
