Hey guys- My Ferrari dealer quoted me $1465 Canadian per badge to install 2 front fender badges, which is about USD $1250 each! As I WAS thinking about putting them on my 89 TR, since I've seen a few of you do it quite tastefully. Now, I know a Ferrari owner should never gripe about prices, but is that consistent with everybody else's experience?
That is for the ceramic Scudaria shield right? Like the F40's. $1250 would be an insane amount of money for the raised-bubble vinyl shield.
Hey Bud, I've just finnished painting my '88 with a custom H. of Kolor Brandywine Candy over Base silver and I had this exact same thing done. However, I got the cermaic SF Badges from Ted Rutlands for approx 350 USD a piece and then i had the front 1/4 panels sent to Premier Motosport in Calif.. (great outfit & they advertise in Forza). They have a one of a kind machine that creates a depression in your front 1/4 panels so that the badges end up being mounted flush. I can't remember exactly what they charged but it was well worth it!! I've got pics if you'd like to see... let me know.
i did mine myself it is easy, just make sure the paint in clean of all polish and waxs...them use a tape mersure to mark the placement of the badge(vertical & horizontal lines) and put the bage on the cross lines....easy took about 2hrs and cost me with everything about $200.00...heres a pic. of what mine looks like when i was done...
