<Sigh>...I'm going to have to remove myself from the list for the Drive/BBQ in Brentwood. I took the Ferrari out for a 25-30 mile jaunt this afternoon, and it's just too hot. I'm not sure how comfortable I feel trying to pull off a drive of that length in this heat....sorry guys. I'll still see everybody at Santana Row in the morning, though. Aaron
great time and nice people looking forward to the next meet and ride.....and the B B Q was great, thank you all...... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

Great pictures! I would recognize pictures of Vasco Road anywhere...it must have been nice to see it lined w/ so many exotic cars. Definitely a treat for the Brentwood/Discovery Bay area. It looks like you guys had a good time.
Tony, thanks for putting the route together on the drive to Brentwood. It was a gorgeous drive through the hills ... if only we (in the second group of cars) were not stuck behind an official vehicle ! Tom, your house was a great party venue. Thanks for hospitality, and hosting us! My wife and I had a great time. We're off to dinner, so I'll post more pics later. Here's one as we headed down Vasco Rd... Image Unavailable, Please Login
Huge thanks again to Tony and Tom for their generous hospitality! Here are a couple drive pics and we also had a special guest who oggled as much as we did. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Alex - I don't know how you do it dude. I'd be having serious withdrawal symptoms if I were in your shoes! Your paparazzi Mini kept up OK from the looks of it, right?
You know it! my Mini Cooper (not S) kept up with the exotics. It was an automatic too!!!! Looks like my new Ferrari will be an F1! hahaha! Looking forward to some turkey on the next BBQ.
Hey guys, great job in putting together an awesome drive. Quite a sight seeing a caravan of 25 exotics (F-cars, Lambos, P-cars, etc) zipping down the road at a "very spirited" pace. Tony and Tom, thank so much for the delicious food and warm hospitality; that was very generous of you both. We have to do it again at Tony's place next time; I want to see the Tank !
That turkey picture stirs some bad memories for me... My wife used to live on 15 acres in Walnut Creek when we first started dating. There were all kinds of birds and wildlife roaming around the property which seemed pretty cool at the time. One day I came out to my car (not my f-car) to find a huge peacock sitting on the hood/cowling. Two things came to mind; claws, and crap! As I approached to see if I could get the darn bird to somehow fly away it stood up and "slowly" began to slide down the hood, attempting to dig in the whole time. It seemed to happen in slow motion...kind of like dragging your fingernails across a chalkboard. Since you cannot kill and eat peacock, I think the bird eventually died of natural causes. Moral of the story; Big birds and nice cars do not mix.
Wow, who ended up with the purple M12? I wondered what happened to that car, was at Al Burtoni's forever unsold. I have video of that car blowing a seal while on a dyno for sound recording for Gran Turismo 2. Loved that color on that car...! The blue TR also looks really sharp, any more info (and high res pics) of this car?
Damnit! If I knew I could've come along in a "non-exotic", the wife and I would've gladly brought up the rear in our new ML350! I just thought it was an exotics only cruise!!! Oh well....next time, for sure. Aaron
