    The owners of the supermarket where we were setting off from, were taken aback by the sea of Cavallino's. They sent out one of their employees to offer us free drinks. :D

    FERRARI DREAM DRIVE ON SUNDAY AUGUST 28 & HURRICANE IRENE

    At the moment it's still on.

    I checked Meteomedia and they're announcing a 40% chance of rain as of 2PM.

    The US National Hurricane Center website shows the edge of Irene just caressing Burlington VT at 2PM on Sunday, so we may get some wind and cloud.
    According to them, the center of the hurricane will be between NYC and Boston at 3PM on Sunday.

    Also, let's keep in mind....the media tends to hype things a tad.

    I'm watching it all and I'll keep everyone posted if the need arises.

    FERRARI DREAM DRIVE ON SUNDAY AUGUST 28 & HURRICANE IRENE...UPDATE!

    It's 3PM Saturday, and it's till on. In the worst case scenario, we'll assess the situation on site on Sunday morning.

    Although the weather now calls for cloudy conditions with a 70% chance of showers, the bulk of the rain will come in the afternoon...well after our drive.

    The US National Hurricane Centre website now shows the path of Irene moving further east, and that works in our favour.

    Let's also remember, storms DO weaken as they move north, and that this storm is also moving north east.

    Let's keep our fingers crossed.

    ...and please pray to your deity. ;)

    It was a race, Ferrari vs Hurricane Irene. And Ferrari won by one car length!!! ;)

    Sorry for the radio silence folks!!! Into my 5th year doing this, it's beginning to wear me down a tad. However, I am working with our events director on our 2012 events calendar.

    2012 will pretty much resemble the previous years...with a few extras. ;)

    Our website will also be going through some changes with a new web host and new design.

    In the mean time, the first event is the:

    Annual Tech Session/Meet'n'Greet at Ferrari-Maserati of Québec on Monday the 20th of February at 6PM

    Vintage European Auto's Annual Italian Car Rally

    The VEA has extendended an intivation to us, to participate in their annual rally, which will be held in the Laurentian Region on Saturday May 19th.

    I can't make it on the 26th so I'm a little dissapointed the dates got switched but a drive on the 12th sounds good. Who's in?

    I'm in for sure.
    I was suggesting a drive to the LCBO in Hawksberry the take the 50 to the 327 north to Morin Heights, then down the 15 to mirabel exit and back to the 50 to the 148 to Ste. Eustache and to the 640...
    It's a great drive!

    Mario, Morin Heights??? Must be talking about another Hawksberry.... About this: meet around 10 ish in parking lot in front Guzzo on Sources (corner of the 40) go 40 west to Vaudreuil, follow the road along the lake (very nice) to Hudson on so on to Hawksberry. Have lunch around there, booze up and come back on north shore. Reverse would also be ok... could eat at Willow in Hudson then...
