FCA DFW Members came out during the welcome break in the weather to see the Maggiore Project M in person. After reading many articles on this project, seeing a few videos, we needed to see it in person!

The event was staged in the front shop, Bistro 31 was catered in, Drakes "organic boxtails" were poured, and over 50 members grouped together for when the drape was removed. We met the organizer, fellow FCA member from down South Glynn B, who also brought the founder of Maggiore to speak on his vison and answer questions though the evening.

A good time was had by all!

Yet another reason to join the DFW Chapter!

It was a pretty standard 308 engine. Still had CIS injection which really limits possible modifications. I talked with him about it and he said should anyone order a car they were prepared to do an electronic engine management system with substantial power improvements. Considering all the hard stuff was done on the prototype making a lot more HP would not be a big hurdle. The workmanship was great. Many of his styling ideas were not my taste but he gets an A for his work.

I'm glad you saw it, probably one of the best expert opinions what it was, how much went into it, and what you would do differently. you have never been politically correct in any other threads, so why are you starting now? :D

I don't really know what was promised. All I knew was it was some custom 308. The other half wanted to go and see all her FCA friends. Like I said, I really went for the bar.

Nowhere in that is an F40 type motor promised. Not terribly impressed with some of the engine mods they did make. Going to iron cylinders was a step backwards but it is the cheap, easy way to do that.
It might make 300 HP but Id have to see the dyno run.

ahh, the confusion is with David Lee's 246 mod that is claimed to be a F40 engine, but is actually a NA 3.2 Mondial.

I like it, the back of the car reminds me of a 246 Dino.
