I NEED A VOLUNTEER. I need someone to go ahead to the first stop, which is not very far from the starting point, and wait there to issue cards and directions, and take pictures of each participant. It would help if the person has a good digital camera, but I can provide one if necessary. It means you'll need to meet me at the Gaylord Texan by 8:30, and take the cards and directions to the first stop. You'll wait there as the 25 or so participants arrive, you snap a quick picture, and hand them their cards, and then they are off, kind of a "drive-thru" stop. Then, after the last car goes by (I'll bring up the rear) you can continue on the route, no additional work is required. Any takers?
If I'm counting correctly, that puts us up to 24 cars. We could easily hit 30 by the time we get the walk ups. Is that a record? I can't wait, I'm psyched about this. 2 more days! The Ferrari is tucked snugly under it's red cover, otherwise I'll be fiddling with it every night.
Okay, Nevermind, I DO still need someone to do this. There is a shortcut you can take to the next stop, that I will tell you about if you want to join up with the rest of the group.
Yes, I forgot to send in my registration, but Paul and I will be there @ 8:30ish. So add two more to the roster. Any idea what time and whereabouts the tour will end? (I have to let the babysittter know a more or less time).
So WHAT time are we supposed to meet at the Gaylord? 8:30 or 9:00? Dave, are you going to send out an email for those of us that don't remember details?
That was a long time ago, and I don't have it any more! So for those of you that are like me, see below. An email might be a good idea Rob, not everyone is as net savvy as me! Image Unavailable, Please Login
We usually list the site with our posts here and then my emails. I think it is even listed in all the FCA publications. That's about all we can do except giving people like Jim a hard time when they don't look. Last time I checked Tillman and David, it was much easier on us when people got their information from an automated source vs. asking us individually 20+ times over.
A global email might also have the benefit of scaring up any 'last minute shoppers'. What do I know, I'm just a lowly FCA member.
Not a bad idea at all, Rob has the email list so we'll see what happens. And there are no "lowly FCA members"... we all are fabulous (and humble) T
Based on our most recent conversation, I hope we all have MORE fun tomorrow than you're having today!
If this was easy, everybody would be doing it! But I would be in worse shape if it wasn't for the Knights, the Roses, Will, and Manny.
