At this point odds are 60/40 that I'll have an empty seat. Will know for sure tomorrow. Damn deadbeat slacker friends.
Its for sure, I will be there! Jano are you joining us on the Ferrari Night Out (see other thread)? Nick
Weather is looking great and call me an optimist, but I think we have over 20 cars. Bring the sunscreen!
I am planning on doing a group pix of everyone before you head out on the run and then I have to head to college Station so everyone be prompt
LoD is sposed to have something simple. Coffee, Juice, Donuts that sort of thing. Last year at FoD they had alot of muffins left over. I'm sure with the word muffin there is a joke in there....
There's no KK on MY way to LoD, however I believe Rob passes 2. It's official, I have an empty seat (unless one of my kids talks me into it). The bidding starts at 1 12 pack of Shiner....
Wow I can feel the event is getting close, reading all these posts. I have 1 question though. If the run starts & finishes in the early PM, how could you go to clubs/bars afterward? Aren't they not open yet? By the way, where does this run end at? My passenger may need to be picked up by his wife as his schedule seems tight tomorrow. I told him it'll end around 12 to 1:00.
Oh, I see. I don't drink alcohol, so never paid attention. I guess you really can't say about the ending location right now. I just realized that. Can you say the ending location is w/in or out of 20 miles radius? We both lives 10 minutes away from LoD.
It's in the general Metroplex area. If you HAVE to know, I'm sure you could PM Jim for it, but if you let it slip, you have to buy everyone a drink.
I am printing 25 copies of the maps. I think we might use all of them with the official entrants and the "maybes". Also, the entry fees will cover the insurance and some small prizes I got, but not anything else. However, I did get 40 tshirts printed with the poker run logo on them. My cost is about $10 per shirt. I'd give them away, but $400 is alot to swallow. If they don't sell then I'll give them away, but paying customers get em first. For next year we can do 1 of 2 things. Keep entry fee the same and skip prizes or raise entry fee to get more stuff. I just hate taking $30 from everyone and you get no tangible door prizes.
How much did all your prizes cost? Insurance was $213, if we have 20 entrants, then $387 is a good amount for the trophies and stuff. I wouldn't mind giving money back to the treasury after the car show rain no-shows and the loss we took. I think you can sell all shirts for $10.
You hear that guys? Bring $10 to buy a shirt from Jim. Don't leave him holding the bag. I'd suggest that next year you just up the entry fee to $40.
That's a good idea, people were put off this year at the show that they had to pay $10 EXTRA for a boxed lunch. That's better because it's just for the people that want it, but our chapter took a loss. If we just would have put it in the price everything would have been cool. Human nature.
You might even send an email to the chapter letting them know the shirts are available, not all of them use the board.
Insurance $213 Trophies $381.45 1 winner, 1 loser, 1 joker and 1 for each sponsor Shirts $407.43 40 shirts TOTAL: $1001.88 14 entries received currently at $30 each brings in $420 Deficit $581.88 If I sell all the shirts that leaves $181.88 which I need 6 more entries to cover. So far I know of Tillman, Steve Lafferty, Brian Stradale, Nick R, Sunil, Mike Lineback. That is 6 so break even.
